Fun and immersive VR experience. I rode on Fast mode and I could really feel the torque when the dragon swerved and dove. If you are a 420 person, this game is IN.CRED.I.BLE. Full disclosure, I got it for 85% off.

If you've been away from Isaac for a while, now is a great time to pick it up again. Repentance adds tons of new synergies and zaniness and new stuff to unlock. Every game is uniquely challenging. Seriously one of the best roguelike games ever made.

Played this for 20 minutes and requested a refund. Yes, you can blow up buildings, woo. The physics are about as intricate as Angry Bird. Play is really simplistic and just not fun. Right click, power up spell, awkwardly aim by tilting the camera so you can barely tell where the enemy is, blow it up, rinse repeat.

Do you like Dwarf Fortress? This is Dwarf Fortress but with a decent UI. Friggin amazing colony survival game with all of the randomness and quirks from your colonists to generate endless hilarity and storytelling. Different experience every time, but always Fun. I kickstarted this game (or whatever platform it was, I don't remember) and while even the early builds started out strong, it just keeps getting better.

I would never have guessed this game is early access if I had gone into it blind. It's really well polished. Tight controls, fun and varied gameplay each run depending on your loadout and what the RNG gives you throughout. There are multiple paths to advance your stats and buffs and it's all very easy to understand. And the voicework is exceptional. Characters respond to recent wins/defeats and maintain a totally cohesive setting. It's clear that the designers have a lot of real love and respect for the Greek mythos because every character is just so well portrayed. This is the best roguelike I've played in a long time.

There's a ton of potential with the idea for this game but it's just not executed well. The gameplay is very "same-y" in spite of the different mutations (and I mean really, I keep getting the same ones over and over). The hitboxes are kind of wonky so the only reliable way to progress is to stay at max range and spam whatever mutation power you got until it eventually kills the enemies. There's little in the way of strategy or emergent gameplay. And the procedural levels all look the same after a very short time. It's boring, frankly.

If you like the Binding of Isaac you will definitely like this, it's basically the strategy version of the game. Lots of items to unlock, lots of ways to synergize different playstyles and items.

Holy crap this game is so much fun. I paid full price ($20) for it and it's worth every dime. If you are a fan of roguelikes and having the ability to think outside the box rather than just hack and slashing your way though the game (although that playstyle can work with some classes, too), definitely look into this.

This game is fantastic... IF you find the right unofficial server. The official servers are completely toxic wastelands bullied around by roaming megatribes that transfer freely from one server to the next. On an unofficial server though, with an admin who gives a damn and a good community, it's fun as hell.

Very atmospheric but not jump-scary. It's easy to jump into a couple of quick rounds when you have some time free, without having to commit hours to play. Killing your friends while you're all in voice chat is glorious fun. I'm looking forward to the Survive With Friends option so we can play together even if we don't have a full 5 people available (and still hopefully earn blood points). Connecting to games is a bit buggy and you'll find yourself clicking 'join lobby' several times before it actually hooks you up, but hopefully they'll have that fixed soon.
