obscenely wide furries aside, i would describe the gameplay as something like a dungeon-crawling looter action RPG. it definitely isn't the easiest at times, but it feels fair.
keep in mind the game is still in development. at the time of writing, the game's content goes up to level 20

if you liked vampire survivors, you'll probably like this one a lot too.

they finally removed the requirement to log into epic games to make use of multiplayer!

aside from that minor hiccup, the game is much like most of the previous EDF entries, which is to say it has a few improvements compared to the last game but is otherwise largely the same, and it has more enemy and weapon variety.
in this particular case, (spoilers ahead) you actually revisit a number of missions from EDF5 due to the groundhog day time travel nature of the game's story. sometimes, these missions are similar, and others they've been changed significantly. some people have complained about this, but i happen to like it.

also, there's a blazer you can get at level 20. if you know what a blazer is, and how low of a level that is to get it, you will probably realize that this means the weapons in this game are going to be comically over the top at higher difficulties.

this game deserves goty

there's a slight barrier to entry in the game's various weird things that it does but if you too are weird you'll probably like it

An excellent game marred by random crashes, especially in minerva's den. only other option is the remastered version, which also crashes frequently.
it's a great game, which honestly makes the constant crashing that at times makes it impossible to play and forces you to load an earlier save sometimes very frustrating

My favorite part was when he said "I'M GONNA TRE THE PANG!" and then pang-ed all over the place. 2 times, actually.
My second favorite part begins when you pick up the shotgun and ends when you finish the game.

think guns and skilltrees like what youd see in borderlands+a fast paced rougelite with movement similar to doom eternal or ultrakill

pretty decent zelda-esque game.

it should be noted that the game has no dialogue and gives you very little direction outside of some objective markers and general ideas of where to go next, and the game will sometimes just not give you any direction at all, and you'll end up fumbling around not knowing what to do.

exceptional art and animation, and good sound and music too

due to the lack of dialogue the story is a little "eh" sometimes. no lore is really ever explicitly told to you, even the murals depicting what happened are convoluted. the ending is also rather confusing

my only major complaints are that the camera angles are sometimes VERY jank which can result in death or failure of platforming challenges, as well as a handful of frustrating glitches regarding ledges.

overall, a decent experience. if you want it, get it when it's on sale
