I started playing this game to help my addiction to plants in real life
Didn't realize I was soon to balance two "REAL" lives

Items despawn. Coop is completely broken. It takes 5 minutes to sync and fails to do so. Got poisoned when host ate raw food. Waste of money!!!! DON'T BUY!

If you haven't purchased this yet, you need to! I have download over a 100 different backgrounds to mix and match between my multiple monitors and laptop. It even comes with the free software to make your own, and then share for everyone to enjoy!
I don't think there is anything that I don't like about Wallpaper Engine.

Do I like and recommend this game to others after 37hrs?
Oh yeah, most definitely!

Yet, that depends on many factors.

The game is truly designed to be played with other people. I mean you could play solo, but the grind makes it quite difficult and tiresome. Also, many of even the beginner creatures, can be very difficult until you progress a little with your weapons, armor, sneak, and other helpful abilities.
Having to take on the bosses is where the games truly proves to be a game intended for friends to play together. The first boss, can be defeated fairly easy with a few tips and tricks, but good luck from there.

Character progression is much different in this game then most other games. Rather then find a scroll that has an armor or weapon plan, or potion ingredients, everything is unlock from discovery. As in, to learn a new piece of furniture, you must find the resource. The concept can make progression speed along or halt depending on a lot of factors.

The game is overall a gorgeous looking game. Small download file and decent graphics. They are pretty retro, but are still somewhat modern and pretty. I will say, there is a lack of diversity of monster skins, and nothing in the way to change your armor different from a friends. If you are both the same tier, you both look the same.

Harvesting resources tends to be actually kind of fun. Some games can be very grindy, but for some reason, Valheim does it well. It could be the fact that you gain exp for the corresponding action a little each time you use it. You can noticeably see the changes in your progression, which is highly addicting and satisfying! You also don't get tons of items you may never use, don't need until way later in the game, and/or items that you rarely use. Some resources you need to collect a lot of, but everything you find is generally dire throughout your travels.

The building system is pretty amazing and has one of the best snap point systems then any other survival/craft game I have played. Manipulating the terrain to build your perfect long house is a great feature. No more looking for a certain size of flat land.... make it! There aren't many options to choose from to build with when you start, or furniture. So, if you like to start building the craziest houses right away, you will have to wait and progress to enjoy them.

Love this game! I remember when it first came out, like 10 years ago! I love logging in everyday with the potential to change the dynamic of the music. You even have the chance to mute a certain sound or riff that you don't like for a little personalized touch.
I would totally recommend it to those who love music, games, and small goals.
The only thing I don't like, is the fact that some of the other Islands you can unlock, can be a lengthy process to obtain.
