Shadow of War is quite an incredible game and if like me, you wanna buy it to see if the hype is justified: it is!
You start as what is basically an End-Game character, you have an incredible liberty of movement - be it horizontal or vertical, you can hide to one-shot grunts, you have ranged attacks, all of that on maps full of enemies, and the balance is perfect.
Gameplay is very satisfying, you feel like having a lot of control and the Batman-style combat feels rewarding even though button mashing is a thing.
Killing a few orcs is usually easy, but if you take too long renforcement will come and you will eventually be overwhelmed. Then there are the orc officers, which can offer some challenge, especially when you're surrounded by grunts.
The story is rather good and all questlines are interesting, but the real hook is the now famous Nemesis System: When an orc kills you, it gets an upgrade, especially if it was a regular grunt who then becomes an officer. If you kill them, they might come back, eager for vengeance.
This create so many story-like moment that you get the feeling of playing a campaign while doing random nasty things on the maps.
The maps feel truly alive, with things happening everywhere and offciers ambushing you, following you or doing their things (mostly fighting each other).
You also end up recruiting them and building your army to eventually launch an assault on the maps' fortresses, with a lot of options on how to make your army better or how to attack.
Every moment of the 60 hours of gameplay i spent on this game has been a blast and i would wholeheartedly recommend this one to every players, if just to experiment with the flow of a game that makes you overpowered as hell and still manages to get thing tough while never unfair, and to experience the Nemesis system.
10/10 this is joy

I played my share of RPGs, and i was at a point where i thought i was over the whole genre because i always ended up bored and couldn't be bothered to finish those games ... Then i bought Disco Elysium and, oh boy, that game proved me wrong.

The setting, while cliché, is brilliant in its execution and the way the crime solving mixes up with your own quest to reconstruct the picture about yourself is flawless.
The automatic skill checks rolled in the background and their resulting "thoughts" gives so much depth to the world and the persona you choose to play as is pure genius.

Art direction is also pretty impressive, be it visuals or ambient sounds but the writing realy takes the cake here. The story, the characters, the dialogues, everything is just that well made.

I managed to get a not-that-bad ending but couldn't solve every mistery on the map while being a rather dull cop and the whole experience was just a treat. Now i want to try to be as maniachal as I could be and see where the game takes me.

Disco Elysium is a masterpiece and i am glad i played it, though it will probably make me even more critical of other rpgs!

SOVL is basically Warhammer Fantasy Battle on PC without the headache brought by the burdensome rules of GW games, and FREE!
Same load of factions, same kind of rules but everything is made easy though unclear, because there is no tutorial and the rules are to be found outside the game itself. (EG: as i red a lot of White Dwarf magazine, even though i never played WH-FB, i didn't even get through the rules and still managed to win my first run)

The singleplayer/roguelite part is pretty great but very short, though there is some replayability as there are 5 base factions, each with 2 to 3 captains, plus as many more in DLCs.
The real meat is probably the Battle system, vs an AI or another player, but i haven't tried it yet.

The strategy is real in this one and the map are just the perfect size for both tactics and quick engagements.
The DLCs might seem a bit pricey for a bunch of stats on colored rectangles but as the game is free, they mostly act as supporter packs.

Totally recommended for strategy enthousiast, a must-try for any (old?) Warhammer fans and an interesting pick for roguelite gamers.

Gris is an amazing visual and athmospheric sidescroller, on par with "Inside" or "Limbo" for its quality and engaging experience.
The art is stunning (be it visuals or sound design), the "puzzles" are well thought and the exploration is great and rewarding as there's a lot of mementos to find.
Pretty much everything you'd expect from this type of game, without any flaw. Only negative i can find is that there is not much surprise or intensity in the game but it kind of suits the "sadness" Gris is about.

At 15€, it's pretty much the same as going to watch a movie in theater, and it is a must buy on sale if you're into this genre.

An amazing atmospheric side-scroller.
I liked Inside more, but i wouldn't have played it if not for Limbo opening the door to this genre for me.
Incredible visuals, real gameplay, Limbo is an experience on it's own.
The 10€ price tag for a few hours feels also easier to justify than the 20 for Inside or more for Little Nightmare.
A real gem

For me, simply the best side-scroller. Better than Limbo, which is already leagues above most of its couterpart (looking at you Little Nightmare).
A truly unique experience, which leaves you questionning the whole game when you get to the end.
The only negative i have is the price, as 20€ for a 4 hours (max) story is not cheap, but you're sure to remember those few hours (especially the very last part).
On sale though, it's a must-buy.

Ok, i'll start by saying that it's not "that bad" but Lone Sails has nothing really going for it apart from its visual style and... and that's it.
Gameplay is pretty tedious, going back and forth to keep your vessel going is fun for about 30s and then becomes a chore you'll have to suffer through the (short) rest of the game.
The word "puzzle" would be a bit far fetched to describe what you're doing when not going forward, as you don't even have to use your brain. You walk a bit, push a button, go back to your ship. At some point there's gonna be a 2nd button, and by the end you may have to push 3. And i assure you I'm not joking.
The difference between Lone Sails and a game like Limbo/Inside or, heck, even Little Nightmares is the same as a the one between a playmobil car and a RC car.
The game might be appealing if it's your first atmospheric side-scroller, but even then wait for an efty discount as paying 15€ for this game is totally unjustified. Otherwise just play Limbo or Gris.
(sorry devs)

Brotato is simply one of the best survival games on Steam.

The setting seems simple: survive in a very small map for 20 rounds, which last from 20 sec to a minute and a half.
Gameplay is fun and accessible but the game is hard with not that much of a meta-progression, you don't get bonuses to help you in further runs. Also the cheer size of the inventory makes the learning curve rather steep as you need to know some of the interactions between items to make the best out of any build.

What makes the game shine is the number of builds you can try and play: 44 classes, hundreds of items and weapons, a lot of freedom in what you can pick and all kinds of interactions between said items and weapons.
Want to play melee? You can choose from Spears to Hand-combat or Swords.
Want to go ranged? Choose from Uzi to Rocket Launcher or even Crossbow.
Want none of that? You can try an Elemental build and set the world on fire or you can go Engineer and fill the map with Turrets.
And all of that doesn't even take into consideration the differences brought by the game's Classes, which are huge.
I'm more than 80h hours in at the time of writing this review and there are still tons of things i want to try - and so far i'm only interested in the powermongering stuff, which leaves even more room for underperforming builds if i manage to get good enough.

For the price, it's one of the best deal you can find on Steam, be it for content or fun.

The 2nd best co-op hordes fighting game (after Vermintide 2).
Every pieces of this game works perfectly together: the class, the weapons, the lobby, the art-styles... 30 mins in and you feel like you entered a big universe with a rich lore which is impressive considering there is almost nothing apart from the lobby and the gameplay itself.

The missions are realy different from one another and while you mostly end-up slaughtering lots of bugs and a few bosses here and there, the freedom you have on each run is always compelling.
If you feel comfortable, you can stay and mine as much ore as your dwarven eyes can lay upon, but if you struggle with ammo, you might want to get out as soon as you've done the main objective.

The randomness in map generation is realy fine tuned and even replaying the same mission always give a different vibe.

Difficulty is also modular, going from a walk in the park to a hardcore trail in hell, depending on what you want, but fun is to be had whatever you pick.
A real masterpiece totally worth the 97% positive review given by more than 210k people as of the writing of this review.
Even out of sales, the game is a nice pick but if you get it for 15€ or less, it's a real steal.

Early-Access-Rezension
Tiny Rogue is almost exactly what you'd expect any rogue-like to be:
-lots of class with actual differences in their play style
-lots of weapons and stuff to equip
-lots of bosses to kill.
All of that even in Early Access.

The surprise comes from its rpg elements: you have stats that you build up, tied to the weapons you pick along your run, and traits that you gain when you "level-up". There is a lot of traits and they are all totally different, ranging from buffs to a damage type (poison/flaming/slashing/etc), to increase to one Stat Bonus at the expense of the other two stats, or Minions fighting with you and buffing you, and a lot more. And all of them are strong if you manage to make use of them.
The replayablity is quite infinite when you factor all this: character + traits + stats + stuff.

The only "downside" is that the game is not that punishing (especially compared to something like Isaac) so you're not struggling as you would in most other tooth-grinding rogue-like, which can be a turn-off for some hardcore players.

In the end, the game plays and feels great, and for a stock price of 10€, that's a real bargain even out of sales.
