What I liked:
Game looks fairly decent, and certainly covers the medieval theme with lots of character customization as well as an okayish variety of game modes.

What I disliked:
They managed to take swordplay elements and turn it into twitch based reflex combat with blocks that only last a fraction of a second and have to be timed and match the attack direction impeccably. This seems to be a bad balance choice to counter the ridiculously slow swing times of the weapons, rendered by someone who just wanted to copy chivalry instead of training with a longsword themselves where they would have found that sword attacks are very fast, even with the heaviest of breaking swords.

This game just by nature of its mechanics does not fulfill my need for medieval combat games... but if you want Call of Duty Medieval themed... this has plenty of backwards twitch based combat.

This game has defined my definition of baffling and game breaking design choices. I truly wanted to play the story... I did, except I ended up 3 hours in, going to meet a guy they told me to go meet, but it was too late, sun set and I didn't have a torch. The game didn't warn me about this. So no matter where I went, a guard would kill me because I didn't have a torch. I'm all for "realism" but punishing players for incorrect minor choices with a "start-over because you didn't plan for the game to be so broken that you made multiple save-points" gameplay style is just horrid. Anyway, I highly recommend NOT getting this, no matter how cheap it is.

This is the most simple, yet surprisingly robust game I've played in a long time. The combat feels very Star Trek, where 2 ships are near each other, firing at each other. Your crew is there to make your ship operate better, and get assigned to other tasks like fire control, or repairs. Each stop is a new adventure!
