A charming game full of flavor that also has a surprising amount of depth.

While the core mechanics of the game are relatively simple, the way each part interacts with other parts allows for many different options and strategies. Beyond the three basic styles of combat to focus on (Friendly, Devious, and Aggressive), you have three resources to balance (Gold, Status, Research), and three different ways of obtaining those resources (Challenges, Encounters, and Insight). Finally, you have a whole slew of Equipment, Entourage, and Research to help you improve at doing each of the above.

Initially, the game can be quite challenging. However, once you learn the basic synergies and strategies, you'll find yourself replaying the game to try out different combinations and strategies. With 18 characters (with DLCs) to choose from, there are dozens of different party compositions along with a multitude of paths to advance in the game.
