Hello dear friends.

I don't understand most of the negative feedback. It is possible to test the game for 6 hours for free. After that you should know whether it offers the content you like. That's why I don't understand the constant whining that the game is outdated after 10 years. Other games would be better... Please buy the other games if this one bothers you... This kind of whining doesn't help any player to make a purchase decision. If you want to give feedback, then please be constructive and content-related. THANK YOU

I thought the price was great in the sale and would buy it again. I played the game directly via Uplay for 150h and now bought it in the sale on Steam.

The Saboteur stellt das letzte Spiel der geschlossenen Pandemic Studios dar. Im Gegensatz zu anderen 2. Weltkrieg-Titeln hechtet man nicht durch unzählige Schützengräben, sondern ist als Resistancekämpfer im Paris des Jahres 1940 tätig.
In der Haut des Iren Sean Devlin sabotiert man die Kriegsmaschinerie der Nazis. Ob man sich nun im Hitman-Stil verkleidet an den Widersachern vorbeischleicht oder sich in bester Rambo-Manier durch die Gegnerhorden ballert.

Das aber definitv Interessanteste an dem Spiel ist die Gestaltung der Spielwelt. Gebiete der frei begehbaren Spielwelt, die unter der Kontrolle der Nazis stehen, erscheinen im tristen Schwarzweiß, lediglich Flaggen, Blut oder Licht sind in Farbe. Der Stil erinnert unweigerlich an Sin City und erzeugt auch im Spiel eine dichte Atmosphäre, irgendwo zwischen Realität und Comic.
Gebiete, in denen die Nazis die Kontrolle verloren haben, werden schließlich wieder in Farbe dargestellt.
Dabei ist es egal, ob in Schwarzweiß oder in Farbe, denn die 40er Jahre werden atmosphärisch perfekt eingefangen.

Nun zur Zensur: gewaltmäßig erscheint The Saboteur unzensiert in Deutschland, Blut und zerplatzte Tiere gibt es auch hier zuhauf.
Dafür mussten nationalsozialistische Symbole, einige Begriffe und zwei Reden von Adolf Hitler entfernt werden. Im Grunde finden sich also nur die genre-üblichen Zensuren im Spiel wieder.

I do not recommend. Win 1 game = +25 points in standing. Lose 1 game = -50 points in standing. So guess what happens? You win 2, lose 1, and never make progress. This happens CONSTANTLY.

PROS: It's free. And there are enough events that allow 'free' players to gain legendary cards. Gameplay is 'ok'.

CONS: Definitely designed to get into your wallet. Pay 2 win. Time-gating. RNG rigged. (Literally the RNG is rigged on roulette and other events. You will always get the lowest possible reward on certain turns. The only reason I know this is I played multiple accounts and took notes).

But the most frustrating aspect of the game is it seems no matter what cards you get (As a free player I have an entire roster of legendary mercenaries), you will get stuck in place. You win a couple, lose a couple and never progress because the game can not be 'mastered'. It can not be mastered for a couple reasons. 1)RNG, you can never count on your cards coming up in a way to work together 2)Opponent has better cards; the game seems designed to give you a great card so you get a 15 game win streak only to start running into people with better cards than you. Imagine you get a 1 power Legendary....the enemy starts to have 2 power Legendaries. Eventually you get 2 power legendaries....now the enemy has 3 power legendaries. And so forth and so on forever.

Like many other FREE card battlers, idle games, auto battlers, tactics games.....you feel you can never really master the game to have a consistent experience. The broken (rigged) RNG and scaling opponents makes you feel always stuck in place. Very quickly it becomes no fun.

And yes all of this of course points to a system that wants you to reach in your pocket and pay to win.
