An unfinished game that has huge potential....

The premise of Cyberpunk 2077 is great and in potential it could be one of the best games ever. But time (and money) got in the way of development and a lot of features were either cut or severely simplified. The performance is "ok" on my rig (RTX 3080, Ryzen 5800x) thanks to DLSS (it's saving grace) and although there were a lot of (mostly small) bugs, none of them were gamebreaking. But in my opinion: the bugs (and crashes) are some of the smallest problem this game has. Most of them will be fixed within the next few weeks.

The biggest problem is the game itself and all it's under developed mechanics. That's something CDPR won't get fixed soon (or ever). We were promised a vastly different game (thanks to it's mechanics) than the final product we got. We were promised a very deep RPG that combined the best of the WItcher 3, GTA 5, RDR2 and Deus Ex into 1 big package. A game that would be so "deep" and so "lively". That everything you did would have a consequence.

What we finaly got: a game that resembled more the standard "open world" concept of an Ubisoft game. In my opinion this game is a mix of Far Cry 5, Watch Dogs and Deus Ex with a little bit GTA 5 (minus all the details Rockstar has put in that game) slammed on it. The RPG elements are almonst non-existent and the "open world" is more like Far Cry 5 (or Watch Dogs) with a very basis (or simply stupid) AI, no day/night cycle (except for the lighting) and very shallow if you look past the surface.

So in short: a potential great game if CDPR does bring back everything (or atleast most) that was promised. But my guess is that they will never do (or simply can) and therefore a definite non-buy for me!
At least I got a refund (after a lot of hassle for 2 weeks), even with 10+ hours of playtime....
