I would recommend this game. Apparently I've spent 1093 hours on it. That's a month and a half. That's like 6 work weeks. Or that's what happens when you leave the game on all the time and forget about it. Great game though.

Would I recommend this game to other players? Yes and no.

If you are looking for a FPS with twitch combat and instant gratification I would say this game isn't for you. If for some reason you enjoy building up your character for hours, maybe days or weeks and having all that hard work snatched from you because you were an idiot and went somewhere you weren't supposed to, then yes. DayZ is very unforgiving and since it was created a lot of companies are trying to take it's game play model it seems.

The game when I last played it was still a bit buggy, but that was a while ago and the DayZ team did fix a lot of the issues. Loot was of course scarce due to the fact it is a survival game of sorts. One complaint is the servers varied greatly in terms of loot which sometimes didn't make any sense. Sometimes I would find myself server hopping just to get something to eat!
