they havent done ♥♥♥♥ for updates since it release early accesss

boring 90% of the time, but the other 10%, this is the only game that makes my heart literally pound in my chest so hard I can hear it in my ears, it makes my stomache drop. and i will feel an actual rush.

stories:
-FIRST IMPRESSIONS-
bought my brother the game as present, spawn on different sides of map, run straight to each other, both starving to death, cant find food, vision starts getting blurry, I drop first and tell him he has to eat me to survive. he eats my body and survives a few more hours until the food poisoning from the uncooked me-at kills him.

A MIL TRUCK NAMED URAL-
get crew together, mil geared head to toe, looking for challenge, find truck carcus, spend 1.5 days rebuilding truck, will be gateway to our desires, all 4 hop on board, designated driver shifts into gear, drives 3 meters plows into sapling, enginehead cracked beyind repair, we unload hundreds of bullets and some grenades at it, still wont work, leave with less than we had.

get it and play it on easy mode, normal is crazy hard. easily one of the most solid games in my library, doesnt take a lot to run it and its replayable as heck, i put it on the same level as HOMM3, awesome classic nessecary in any normal person library. gl unlocking crystal cruiser

they fixed it and made it dope af its a pretty good game now id say, they added a bunch of updates and keep adding them

"As wide as an ocean, but as deep as a puddle" is about the most accurate comparison I've heard. Would reccommend for maybe around 20$, definately not 60$ thats a slap in the face. I got slapped in the face. I will just leave these here for you to decide if its right for you:

IMO, it needs a lot of development still, its just too grindy at times, and repeptitive once you've been to more than a few planets. The first few planets are awesome, but after that you've more or less seen all of the events. House infested with (insert color) creep material, house with single alien trader (that interacts more or less the same as every other alien you meet), ect. HG needs a lesson from the developers of FTL about how to make a myriad of events that you can encounter. For how big the galaxy is, you think your interactions with aliens wouldnt boil to to either: A-Ignore you B-Give you blueprint C- Trade with you. You can't be anyones ally/enemy ect, you can't even fire a weapon anywhere near the 1 alien per building youll find (it force disarms you when near buildings/aliens).

I could go on, but everything that needs to be said has been said by countless other players.

Just research the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game before buying. You will either buy it and be happy with it for maybe 20 hours, or will pass on it. If you play it for more than 20-30 hours you are an extremely patient and forgiving person. Or are just forcing yourself to love it. I really hope they patch more content in but after following the development for a few year off and on, gotta say wtf.

I bought it about 4 days after release on pc. I knew exactly what I was getting into because I followed it and researched it, saw all the reviews and streams and letdowns and reddit fanboyisms. I still wanted to give the game an honest chance. I'll probably tick more hours onto the game at some point, especially if they patch in more content, but as is its not worth 60$ no question about it

But if you're reading this, do thorough research into reviews and gameplay videos. Decide if you want to give your money to a company that delivered the product as it is now vs what was promised, because its not what was promised.

This is One Man's Letdown for me. Not a bad game, just not what they sold it as, and not worth 60$.

not impressive at all for the price point, not bad but defiatnely not worth near 35 dollars

First impression: Loving it so far, definately aspects of ftl you can pick up on right away, but in a zombie scenario. The random events are pretty cool and sometimes they just make you go 'oh god what have i done'. Looking forward to see how it goes after i finally beat it on greg(i learned the hard way to play on easy mode for now). Dlcs and additional updates could add some cool stuff, and i think i saw a modding tutorial on the discussion board which could open up some cool stuff.

having gotten it a while after release and playing it with a bunch of workshop mods, this game is pretty damn cool, can sit in a big carrier ship ordering other ships to battle and watching from the command deck thing

was with the game and development process since before steam, even posted thourough bug reports and all.

Very disappointed to see. They once told me they were going to add farming too.
