Well my original hope and optimism for the unfinished game has turned into disappointment and boredom for the product. After having played it in early access, and at launch, I think it's safe to say this game is no longer really worth the money. I was hoping they were going to fix all the problems and add more to game. Over a year later now, I gave the "expansion" a try and it really wasn't anything special considering I had to start a new character to get into it and go through the old stuff again. Just doesn't feel like they've done enough to the game to warrant giving it any more time. I would say avoid unless it goes on sale and you have exhausted all other options like Diablo, Path of Exile, Grim Dawn, and Last Epoch.

Just don't. Spend your money on a game that is actually finished or actively being developed because this one is neither.

Just like with the original Subnautica, Below Zero is well worth picking up if you enjoy exploration and survival. It's one-upping the original by adding in dialogue and more story/lore to the universe. It is of course still in early access and things are subject to change, but the developers continually work on it just like they always have with their titles and it is shaping up to be yet another success.

So far what I've played of the game has been enjoyable. It has coop/multiplayer, little to no bugs, decent replayability, developers have a roadmap that they've been following. It could use more levels and enemies, but I feel like in time that shouldn't be an issue. If you don't like or are just tired of all the early access games, wait and pick it up when it "launches". Otherwise I feel like it's a good deal for $20.

Easily one of the best coop games that has come out in the past few years. If you like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood, this game plays similarly with a bit of Minecraft sprinkled on top. It plays well, runs well, and the developers care about the longevity of the game and have been trickling content in. There is a decent variety of biomes and mission types as well as multiple difficulty levels allowing for a good amount of replayability. Easily worth picking up on sale, if not full price.

The game has its issues just like any other. Some of the mechanics of this style of game make certain weapon selection and playstyles a little awkward or less effective. Example: you can't run and shoot a 1-handed weapon while closing the distance to melee. You have to stutter step your way in. Kind of makes using a ranged and melee weapon in the same set less effective than if you just equipped a 2-handed version of either imo. Otherwise most of the game seems pretty solid. If you like this genre of game/and or the Warhammer 40k universe, I would suggest picking it up at least on sale. The developers have also been updating the game fairly regularly in order to fix bugs and whatnot, so it's definitely not another No Man's Sky situation. If you're unsure, just watch some gameplay or see if it's your thing.

Still early access but the game is worth the $20 if you like exploration.

The game has a nice mix of tactical and arcade shooter. If you're on the fence about this one, wait until it goes on sale. If you're interested in it, it's probably worth full price still.

The good:
- LARGE play area
- Tons to do
- Good weapon pool
- Decent talent system to cater to how you want to play
- "Story" is good
- Playable with or without friends (friendly AI take a bit of commanding to make them useful though)

The bad:
- AI are still either completely unaware of you or are blasting you 200 meteres away with dual SMGs with no problem as soon as you're in line of sight
- Cover system feels kind of tacked on and could use alot of work
- Desynchronization issues where party members wont see/be seen by anything or things just wont spawn in until you're in the midle of them

Dead and unfinished game. Don't buy it.

Imagine Dayz and Minecraft mixed together, that's 7 Days to Die. While currently in early access, the game at its core is fun and is constantly being pushed forward with updates. Developers actively work on and update it, just at a slow pace due to having only a handful for people working on it. The game recently got talents that involve things like armor, weapon, etc. crafting added in which I believe adds a much needed element into the multiplayer survival games. Well worth picking up at least on sale if not full price.
