No worries on the wall of text.
To re-cap. Yes, it's a compatibility issue. Confirmed by THQ. Currently being fixed. I don't have an exact ETA on when the fix will be delivered, but it was characterized as 'shortly' by the development team. Once I have an ETA, I'll communicate via the THQ Customer Support website as a Top 10 item on the landing page. Likewise, the Homefront Community forums will be broadcasting this information as well. I'm sorry for the varying messages - this was a late discovery.

seems to be aproblem with windows XP 64 bit ...dont know ur OS but could be related . Lots of prople having similar problems...
