An absolutely shocking improvement over last year's shoddy release, F1 23 has massively improved the handling performance of the cars. I'm very happy to see Braking Point back. The F1 World stuff is wholly unnecessary and a bit of a damper on the experience, but its also nearly completely avoidable.

This is one of the best FPS games ever made; among my favorite single player campaigns and a multiplayer that is still endlessly entertaining with healthy player populations even seven year after its release. Honestly shame on EA for releasing it in such a way that it was destined to fail; hopefully Respawn doesn't forget about this franchise. It deserves so much better.

Flippfly is back with another on-rails flight game to sink your teeth in, this time with combat and roguelite elements while wearing affection for Star Fox on its sleeve. If youre a fan of this classic genre, I think you'll find a lot to like here, even in early access. The game has some lovely character artwork and ship designs. The first two areas that are available are very distinct - one feels a bit like the Star Wars trench fun washed in blues and pinks, the other a virtual synthwave battleground.

At this point in early access (8/22/23 at time of writing) you're getting in on the ground floor. This game has evolved a lot even since the demo first came out a couple months ago, so as much as I am enjoying playing it (and the demo that preceded it, which my save carried over from) I'm excited to see where this goes in the weeks and months ahead.

Easily my favorite super hard platformer. I'll finish it someday. Great pixel art, and EXCELLENT soundtrack.

Came for the japanese crime drama, stayed for the cabaret club simulation

Braking Point is excellent, I love that they've added this feature to the game. It's a shame that you can't drive the 2020 cars or the 2019 F2 cars outside of Braking Point - silly honestly - and also that they removed classic content. But, the cars feel better in this game, much less understeery, and they feel more predictable to me. The expanded difficulty settings are great, and raytracing looks stunning (not that I have that myself, but I've seen video). If you liked 2020 you'll like 2021, even if it's missing some things.

Aside from REALLY not liking being Alt+Tabbed out of, this is a great port. Framerates are locked at 60fps on a 1080 @ 1440p with 1.5x render rate and all other options maxed. The game itself is exactly what I wanted from the bill - more Persona 5, but an action game. I don't normally like Dynasty Warriors type games, but this barely feels like one. If you like Persona 5, you'll like this!

These games keep getting better every year. I'm very appreciative that they are updating it to keep up with the season, including liveries. I just wish they'd add VR. There's no excuse to not have VR on a racing game at this point...
