REALLY good game, loved the storytelling a lot, definitely recommend it if you are autistic. but even if you aren't you should still play this because who DOESN'T want to get stuck in a torturous time loop for like a good week

EDIT: okay SERIOUSSSS review time. SPOILERS BELOW !!!

game is still really good, the story is evocative and the art is GREAT (all the poses and expressions are so fun!! loved the character designs so much!!) and all the teeny tiny details are incredible. you can really tell a lot of thought went into it!!

a lot of the reviews are right though, this will NOT be a game for everyone. you will have to be willing to forgive it some things! some rushed story beats, some awkward dialogue, some frustrating gameplay mechanics. but if you’ve got the patience and the openmindedness then it’s totally worth it!! it utilizes the medium perfectly for a story about timeloops, you really get into the main character’s head and feel everything they’re feeling (also, is it really an rpg if you’re not gradually losing your mind every other fight?) Amazing execution and i LOVED the horror parts!! this is less criticism and more of a personal thing but i wish there were more subtle horror parts!!! because they were SO GOOD!!!!!

i do want to share some thoughts on what i think could’ve been done better. first of all, we started at the end of the characters’ journey—which is fine! it’s a unique take and very interesting!! BUUUUT it really could’ve used some more setup. i didn’t connect with the characters as much as i would’ve liked to, because we’re just kinda thrown into this journey with them and told to care about them? and we’re told that we’re close with them and that we’ve got so much history with them and yadda yadda? i know that siffrin is quite forgetful, but they DO dream between loops, so it would’ve been cool for them to have flashbacks during their dreams!! it would’ve been really nice to find out more about the party and all their relationships, it would make it WAY easier to get invested in!! and the whole plot point of siffrin wanting to stay with them and treating them like family would’ve hit much harder and been more compelling i think!!! the flashbacks/dreams could even become gradually more messed up and Wrong as siffrin goes trough the timeloop over and over again and starts forgetting things more (and just becoming crazy). it also would’ve added some variety between the loops, and would’ve given you more motivation to keep going even if you were frustrated :)

second of all, i felt like the epilogue came a bit suddenly. we were really at the rock bottom of siffrin’s mental state to the point that he was hallucinating his friends, so i think what would’ve worked is to 1. have his friends calling out to him and gradually getting louder (during the whole Homesick fight, or after it, in the darkness) instead of just suddenly appearing 2. not have siffrin believe they’re real at first, because that’s what *i* thought. we spend half the act seeing messed up visions of our friends!! it would’ve made sense for sif to not believe they ACTUALLY came to save him at first, for him to act like they weren’t real, and then maybe have him or them touch each other so that siffrin can have the Realization. and it would’ve fit the themes! of sif’s relationship with physical contact and with unreality!! (could’ve brought back the ‘They’re real, they’re here, you’re real, you’re here’ lines) personally i think that would’ve made the epilogue a bit more seamless!!! and more compelling too!!

that’s pretty much all my ‘gripes’ i have with the game, like i said some of the dialogue is awkward but i don’t mind. i still liked it a lot! i’d rather have a messy and imperfect but still fun game than have no game at all!! i can tell it’s a really personal project and i’m glad it was made!! i do definitely recommend it if you think you’d like the game, it’s a solid 8/10 from me!

просто великолепная игра!! я очень люблю все эти РПГМЕЙКЕР-игры, типо OFF и OneShot, и эта игра была такая же отличная и не разочаровала! дизайны персонажей все очень милые и хорошо сделанные, музыка приятная, а рисунки просто замечательные, катсцены были очень красивые и душевные. идея того, что после смерти, всегда была интересной, и мне очень понравился концепт с жнецами! история простая, но трогательная, я даже увидела частичку себя в Лаванде.
спасибо разработчику за игру и за этот опыт!!! <3

i got this game a year after it came out, and i cant say that i wasted my money. sure, the lore might be confusing and hard to understand but, its still so interesting! and the gameplay is just !! omg
the backgrounds are really beautiful, and i ABSOLUTELY adore the other creatures !! (including slugcat)

Игра не виновата в том,что какие то пидоры-переростки к вам приходят и крушат ваш дом и дино. Вините их! Не игру! А атк игра хорошая.
