The mandatory third-party account requirement has raised eyebrows in the ranks of PC players, myself included. The decision to enforce this requirement likely stems from strategic considerations of their C-level execs. Some of them delusionally seem to believe that once players register, they become more receptive to future sequels—especially if those sequels are console exclusives.

However, this assumption overlooks how stoic PC gamers can be when treated as pushovers. For me, the issue is clear-cut: If the forced account policy is attempted again in the near future, I won’t hesitate to drop, uninstall and forget about this game without batting an eye for one second. Furthermore, any indication that PC players are treated as second-class citizens will make me drop your game. You will not succeed with predatory monetization of the PC platform.

Whilst I see the main issue with the publisher, communication of the developers with players on social channels has been equally poor. This has eroded the trust in the studio for me as well. I'm not interested in being seen as someone who can be treated like that for resisting bad habits from consoles being established on the PC platform. Don't tread on PC.

Owning the entire franchise in my Steam Library, objectively it is agreed that this may be the worst of all Dawn of War games, but it is nowhere near as bad as people try to make it look like.

Considering that most people had to finish this on casual difficulty and very little managed it on normal, I see why people could be bored, if they deprive themselves from a fun challenge. The campaign is very enjoyable even though there are only three factions. Pick this up for a tenner on sale and you will have a good time!

Owning every single Hitman game on Steam, I was excited to see HM3 return to the platform. What I experienced were crashes, freezes, reconnects to an always online service. No previous installment ran this poorly. And I'm talking about bugs here. The changes to the outdated engine are superficial. The missions are fun to play and well designed. But I did not find a single level without experience breaking glitches. Infinite audio loops on Berlin, broken exits on Dartmoor, enemies clipping into each other in Chongqing... Do I need to go on? Consider that the game is released for over a year on PC (other platforms) and they did not fix this. The pricing is ridiculous and they admitted it is profiteering when they made one DLC free, because it was impossible to own the entire HM3 game and not pay TWICE the amount of a full-price title. I only saved money because location imports and progress imports exist and still had to pay more than for a regular full-price title. I would have given it a good rating, but in the current state I'd recommend newcomers to not buy it. Simply because quality control let ridiculously glaring issues slip into the final game, after an entire year!

Update (2025): I still stand by this opinion. Little was done in terms of bug-fixing.

No Items, Fox Only, Final Destination!
Don't walk away yet and grab this during a sale for a few cents. The world is nicely designed and unique by mixing neo-traditional elements like shrines in cities with cyberpunk tech. Giving it a great look and feel I didn't see in many other games so far.

Just look past the few pitfalls, like literally taking less than a minute to rebind controls and getting used to the movement, it is alright. And even though a short game with just a few story bits narrated through text overlays, it still gets the mood across. Who wouldn't save a fox cub from cyborgs and sewer rats? The atmosphere, the neon lighting and ending make it a game that is worth to own. Can you skip this one? Surely, but if you enjoy even small things you'll get some fun out of this.
