If you like 2D run 'n' gun platformers like Contra or Metal Slug -and who doesn't- this is a must. Level design is utterly brilliant, you can destroy the whole level and it'll still be playable. There are tons of various characters, each one plays differently and because you can't choose them you have to be flexible and improvise. Broforce has a pretty long campaign, co-op, a level editor and it still gets new updates with new characters and levels. Just buy it, it's one of the best games of 2015 and it's constantly getting even better.

Huge disappointment. At first glance, it seems like exactly the same game the first one was, just bigger, better and more badass. Unfortunately, the level design is nowhere near the perfection of the original Hotline Miami. Levels are too big and very often you get killed by an enemy you can't see. What's more, most of the time it feels like you play the way developers wanted you to play, not the way you want to. Improvisation is gone, this time it's all about memorizing the levels. And forget about the story, it's told in such a convoluted way there's absolutely no reason to care about it.

It's not a terrible game, especially because the synthwave soundtrack and the unique art style are still here, but it's just mediocre and with so much great titles on Steam I don't think Hotline Miami 2 is really worth you time unless you are OMG SUPER CRAZY about the first one. Don't say I haven't warned you though.

Seriously, avoid it. It looks fantastic, but the story is dull, there is no humour at all and puzzles are overcomplicated (not hard, mind you) and get repetitive after an hour of gameplay. As a HUGE fan of The Neverhood, I recommend to stay away from this one.
