This is a really good PC port of this game so far and it seems like they listened to the general feelings people had about world. You are in a lot of different maps and much more quickly, and they're pretty varied.
I've really enjoyed what I've played of it so far.
It also looks really nice with the higher res textures. The engine they are using seems really scaleable in that it can run on something like the switch at a decent frame rate but still look really nice on a pc.

I've really enjoyed playing this game.
There is a bunch of cosmetic stuff, but in a game that's free I don't hold that against them too hardly. They do give you a lot of options to get lootboxes through just playing the game as well.

It's a solid multiplayer shooter that feels good to play. It reminds me a lot of playing Halo 3. Also the random special game modes they've put up have been a lot of goofy fun.

This game reminds me a lot of the first Nier game and they didn't come out super far apart. They both have really strong and beautiful styles that stood out from the other games released at the time.
I feel like this didn't go on to get the following that Nier did though, and that kind of sucks. It's a really beautiful game that was doing some things that stood out at the time.
But it's really nice to see it running on PC at a good frame rate and in 4k. It makes the art that stood out back then even better.
Give this game a shot. It's pretty cheap and it's worth spending the time to see it.

This game is well made, but it pales in comparison to the original and the re2 remake. I wish that they'd given this another year and not rushed it so hard to market.

This is a really fun, chill game.
There is like minor jank involved at times, but overall it's well made and I think it has some good ideas.
The vibe of everything kind of looking like plastic toys is really well done and looks nice.
Also the music is very chill and something that I would listen to outside of the game.

I haven't spent a huge amount of time with this game yet, but all the basic stuff seems nailed. The combat feels good. Hitting things, dodging, and parrying all feel right. And then also it looks really nice and runs well.
I can't really speak to the long term of the game, but I'm glad I came across this and bought it.

This game still holds up very well. The mouse controls are a little weird, but it's something that you can get used to pretty quickly. If you come back to this, look for the Resident Evil 4 HD project where a crazy person has resourced every single texture in the game at high res and it looks amazing.

The art, music, and gameplay is what I've come to expect from a Super Giant game, which is to say it's excellent. It does something interesting too, which is telling a story with interesting characters along playing through a rougelike.
It's very good at giving you small term goals to unlock as you're working on the greater goal of progressing through the game.

Might be harder to go back to then the third game, but it came a long way in the time that it was released to when it stopped getting a lot of patches. They spent a lot of time listening to people playing it and putting that information back into fixing aspects of the game.
This game is more like several open maps with a lot of side content. And then also there is a large choice at the end of one of the chapters that is going to give you very different content depending on what you choose. That was a thing that took a lot of guts at the time. I think most triple A stuff would have laughed at you if you said that you were going to gate players off from a large amount of content and they might never see it.

Good at giving you a lot of small and long terms goals that you're always working towards.
There is a decent amount of recycled stuff in the expansion, but hopefully it's an investment in them making more involved stuff now that they have the game to themselves.
