I've only played for 10 minutes but I really like it already. There's something about this game that makes it really creepy. Maybe it's the low amount of polygons, or the weird residents, or the low resolution. If you like a good (albeit weird) scare this is the game for you.

This game is basically only playable on the Vulkan renderer because the default OpenGL is absolute dogsh**. Vulkan makes it like 5x faster.
The problem is that it crashes. All the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. And it's never when you launch or start playing - no - the game always seems to crash when I'm about 10 minutes away from landing after a 2 hour flight.
This has pissed me off so many times and so much I'm just leaving a bad review now.

It's a decent game and feels very satisfying when you get everything right, but the story is kind of meh and the whole thing can feel a bit repetitive sometimes. Not the most replayable game but it is fun and I would give it a shot if it's on sale.
Verdict: Good game, but definitely not worth 18 quid

Counter-Strike 2 is by far the worst title Valve has ever released.
Valve shot themselves in the foot by setting a release date for summer. We all know that Valve time is a thing, and we all expected that CS2 would be released as a good, polished game in around 2024. Instead, the devs decided to release it ASAP (and it was late anyway) when the game was in a completely unfinished state.

A lot of good maps are missing from the game (Cache, Train, Militia, Dust, just to name a few) as well as lots of fun game modes such as Danger Zone, Flying Scoutsman, Demolition, and my personal favourite Retakes.

Skins' patterns have changed, causing many collectors to be rightfully outraged. The colourful skins look more flashy in the new lighting, whereas everything else looks really bland and washed out. Many skins are broken, such as the UMP-45 Indigo which looks horrible. Old gold stickers from souvenir items are broken and look really dark too. The M4 Printstream still hasn't been fixed. These are just a few of the many errors with skins.

Don't get me wrong, the graphics of CS2 are very pretty and some areas are even photorealistic. Of course, the hyper-competitive players that Valve is now catering to will make all the settings as low as possible to squeeze that extra 20fps to add to the 600 they already have, but I still think that a graphical upgrade is nice. The problem is that with CS2 completely REPLACING CS:GO, (which should be downright illegal), a large portion of the playerbase now cannot play their favourite game because its place has been taken by some unfinished crap. To those who say "Buy a better PC!!11!", not everyone has the money to upgrade, especially in other countries that aren't as rich as the USA or UK etc. These people will have to save up to buy a new computer so they can play a worse version of the game they once loved. The replacement of CS:GO may be fine in that EULA legal jargon and whatnot, but it is really horrible to the community. Plus, merging the reviews of GO and 2 is just dishonest, even if you put a tag saying it's a CS:GO review. I have a feeling the reviews would be much worse if it weren't for the millions already posted before 2023.

All my achievements are gone, which is a real shame because I spent ages grinding for them and now they've all been wiped to make space for a single stupid achievement that you get by launching the game.
The new premier mode is terrible (4 stacks are impossible? You lose ONE THOUSAND ELO for being kicked?!), the classic competitive is borderline unplayable because you need 10 wins on each map, the game is full of cheaters (while innocent players with a high DPI get instantly banned by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ new vac live system) and for the first time ever I'm worried my PC can get a virus because of an exploit anyone could do by initiating a votekick.

Valve is a company that has made the best games ever. Half-Life and its sequels, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, TF2, you name it. And I did not expect this to be such a sloppy, half-assed release.

Fix your damn game. I paid for CS:GO, I expect to be able to play it.

Edit: And don't even get me STARTED on the loadout system and the horrible new soundtrack that throws a rave every time you blink..... thankfully you can turn this off though
