You can now get your account suspended for a week if a team in warzone reports you for "cheating." No multiplayer, no warzone. Lazy ass devs don't want to make a good anti cheat so they'll just auto-ban you because someone got mad.

Early Access Review
Even in early access, this game makes me never want to go back to DayZ. Remarkably better in terms of loot. I prefer having random scavs to fight over hordes of zombies and crawling everywhere to avoid detection, and PVP is well balanced. PVP is more reliant on skill than it is on gear (albeit it helps) which creates a nice balance between kitted players and fresh spawns. I'd recommend buying this game and the supporter pack for the extra bank slots. Very useful.

Here's my review on DayZ. I'll go over some of my favorite bits and some of the things I think need work.

First off, an intro:

DayZ has come a long way since its birth. This update has brought me a lot of fun. In fact, its about the only thing I play now. I was very skeptical about this update but when I heard that beta came out and DayZ finally left early access, I thought I'd give it another chance. I'm glad I did. Like any new player, I had no idea what to do or where to look. But I quickly learned how to play the game from other players and videos. That being said, if you're gonna play this game, download a map either on your phone or have one up on your second monitor because it is a literal life saver. iZurvive.com has a great map and app on both Play Store and App Store.

The good:

Fire fights are super fun and make you think critically about your positioning. At first, dying seems like such a burden and makes you want to stop but as you move past that attitude you realize something unusual and desirable about this game. Every death spawns a new adventure that is different from the last life you played. Sure the routine stays the same, find food, water, guns and ammo, upgrade your clothing, but the path is different which makes it fun. Whether you play solo or with a team, a goal is always set in mind: gear up and build a base. Sometimes you'll get further, sometimes you wont last as long. But you will always achieve a goal whenever you play.

I know the bad paragraph is longer than the good but that doesnt mean this game is bad.

The bad: Now, this game still isnt in full release so bugs are going to happen. When I first started playing this game and got geared up I noticed a bug where I would die out of nowhere. Some might say, oh you just got sniped in the head, and I'd think so too. However, that's not the case. I remember when I was playing with my friend we we're the only two people in a village. I was catching up to him while he was dropping zombies with a suppressed cr-61. He, indoors and on the opposite corner, somehow managed to shoot my once, when I was outside on the opposite corner of the village. I searched for another player but couldnt finad any and neither could he. This also happened when I was saving my frioend from a zombie horde. I droppped them then a couple seconds later I got shot in the head and died. These are all questionable, I know. But what is frustrating is fixing up a vehicle. The dev's have already acknowledged this and are working on it but if you find a vehicle with its wheels slightly in the ground, fix it up, then get in, the car will adjust itself so its wheels are ven with the surface. However, this only happens when you climb in, and when the car resets itself to be ground level, you either A) get knocked out, or B) die. So if you find a vehicle that unrepaired with its wheels in the ground dont bother with it. Because the second you hop in it destroys you and itself.

Other thoughts:

I have a fun time playing the community servers and would personally avoid the official servers because of basebuilding. If you want to build bases, do so only on community servers. If you build bases on official servers, players that find you base and cant get in can just log onto another server, walk into the space that's supposed to be the inside of your base, log back into the server your base is on, and freely be in your base just like that. Upon realizing that, I ditchedofficial servers and went to community servers. They have better ping for me and my friends across the US and allow mods like new weapons, no stamina, increased loot, and slower vital drain.

Conclusion:

I would buy this game. Perhaps it's too expensive for where it stands now but to be honest I've waited years to play this game and it's at a point where it more than playable for me personally. Of course, patches and updates will come regarding the issues I've discussed and more. It's easy to look past the bad pieces in this game and find yourself lost in the good parts about it. At least, that's what has happened to me. And to those who are just starting out or are gonna buy the game, the second you gear up and move inland, assume every one is hostile. I learned that the hard way trying to be friendly with everyone. But being friendly is boring, Firefights are half the game and boy are they fun, even if you end up on the losing end. Like I said, a new adventure awaits after every death.

No matter your build, your will always be worse than everyone else.

That being said, i still somehow enjoy and tolerate this game.
