I have > 1k hours, played since the beta (with a period of time-off in the years between) on my non-Steam account. I'll gladly go through another account here.

To the folks complaining about steam account linking for the Steam Deck -> you can still play on the steam deck with your original accounts, I've been doing it since the Deck's release and recently finished my first WVW Leggy set doing just that. It isn't like GW2 is going away outside of Steam. A negative review for a new platform of people isn't the place to complain there, it just turns off new players from a perfectly fine experience of GW2 from its beginnings.

The PC version, at least, is pretty amazing in my opinion. I'm loving every minute.

Fast-paced shooting akin to Unreal, pseudo-random maps akin to RoR, item-progression akin to BOI. What is not to love.
