Pros:
- Controls feel smooth overall
- This game has explosions, and they feel good
- Managed Democracy
- Amazing with friends
- 9 difficulty levels, open for all skill level
- Freedom and Liberty
- All battle passes available to earn via play time and aren't time locked

Cons:
- Sony may attempt shenanigans
- I personally find it hard to play when friends aren't playing

Overall:
Its a great game that is built in such a way that dumb things will happen just as often as amazing things will happen and those things will become "Remember that time when..." stories within your friend group. I feel it can fall off in enjoyment when not playing with friends though.

10/10 with friends
8.5/10 without

Blood Card is a rouge-like deck builder in a similar vein to Slay the Spire, but has a number of things that set it apart from other like titles.

In Blood Card, your deck is your life, so playing cards and drawing cause you to "take damage", however there are multiple cards in the game that "heal" you by shuffling cards from your discard to your deck, this also means that you heal after every battle, meaning mistakes in a battle that don't kill you don't affect the rest of the run. This also means that when you choose a card after every battle you get 1-3 more max HP, but can throw off the consistency of your deck.

There are 6 characters in this game and at time of writing I have played 3 of them. Each character has a different method of getting energy and different perks. There is a character that simply gets energy every turn, while one has to set a card aside to gain an energy, and another spends gold whenever he runs out of energy to replenish. Some of these alternative energy generation methods can make infinite combos incredibly easy, which can make for either a fun run, or a boring one, depending on how much you enjoy running a card engine.

You also get a number of rooms to pick from (Normal & Elite Battles, Shop and Event) at the start of each floor and get to choose which order you play them in, there are more choices than there are rooms however, so it is sometimes possible for you to skip elite battles or shops for an entire floor altogether.

All of this together actually makes the game rather easy in the beginning, though after clearing the dungeon and beating death a few times, the game can get tricky, where enemies' health pools are large enough to survive your early deck, but the ease of creating loops can make it so that once you've got a few key pieces in your deck that you can simply loop for a first turn kill on most enemies. There are also a number of positive and negative modifiers that can make the game easier or harder depending on what you want.

The art in the game is good, it's not my favorite game to look at, but it's still solid, the animations are fairly basic, and if you really need to see your attacks hitting, you won't, but for this kind of game it's not really a big deal.
Sound is good too, the background music is appropriate and doesn't interfere, and the sound effects all give an idea of what's going on.

Overall this is a fun game, if you enjoy other deck builders I'd recommend this to you, but if you aren't a fan of the genre you're not likely to find something in this game that's going to change your mind.
