Frustrating, hard, a little grindy. But it's free and fun to play with a group of friends... just be prepared to die (and then laugh about it). Definitely give it a shot if you're into MP survival/crafting games and looking for a goofy time.

This game was gifted to me, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try it! I was very hesitant to try it given the price tag, but it's downright cute & cozy and totally worth it.

You follow the story of your character's life by unpacking her items as she moves from home to home over the years. Really simple in concept, but each level contains so much detail and the love that went into this game's design is palpable. Every item that can be interacted with has a unique sound that changes depending on whichever surface it's set on. It just tickles my brain! The best part of this game has got to be the playback feature that unlocks once you complete a level.

It's not mentioned in the Store description, but Unpacking's design is done in a manner that helps to make gameplay highly accessible (mobility/vision/hearing/cognitition). To keep this review brief, I won't list them here - you can read more about these Accessibility Features directly on their website.

Totally recommended!

If you're looking for a shorter, casual indie game with a solid blend of mystery/puzzle elements, this is a good game for you! You learn of the lore of the world as you solve puzzles and discover/identify new plants. The puzzles are not brain bending, I'd put them around 3-4/10 difficulty. There are multiple endings, so choices do matter. Fortunately, you're eventually able to jump backwards with autosaves to follow the plot in different directions and achievement hunt. Art/ambiance/character development and dialogue are all done quite well and engaging.

There are a few aspects of the game that could be improved upon, and this includes your shop UI. The plant shelf and your desk move as one unit (zooming/scrolling together), rather than functioning independently, making late game feel clumsy and difficult to navigate. You also cannot cycle through items on your desk very easily, so managing multiple clues at once can feel tedious. Something that would take this game to the next level would be the ability to amend entries in your book, or even write notes for yourself or edit the drawings. That said, these details weren't significant enough to sour my experience, so I'd say give it a shot!

The premise is simple but all the mechanics come together to make this game very worthwhile. There are a variety of characters and item combos to keep things fresh, and there's even hard mode when you need more of a challenge. Tbh, this game has some great value for only $3. Give it a try!

I've been looking forward to Timberborn for quite awhile, and I was gnawt disappointed!! This game has come a long way since the demo, which I already found fairly engaging. Yeah, it's Early Access and is lacking a lot of features, but the bones of this game are quite solid. There are obvious gaps in content for a survival colony sim/city builder, but those can be overlooked at this stage. That said, there is plenty of content for an EA release, including 2 separate factions and many maps to tinker around with. The water physics simulation is plain awesome and really challenges the player to be inventive with their builds.

Really looking forward to further development!

YES! I am loving everything about this game in its current form.

For an EA release, this game has a rock solid foundation. You run an alchemy shop, where you brew potions for customers and explore the intricacies of alchemy using your equipment and reagents. You adventure through the Alchemy Map to discover new potions, to improve your existing brews, and to collect XP in order to level up your skills. It sounds simplistic on the surface level, but navigation through the Map is a very hands-on and abstract puzzle. I find these mechanics very enticing and unique.

At this point in time, Potion Craft definitely has enough content to warrant its price tag, and the road map looks promising. I look forward to seeing where this one goes throughout development!

Cute and utterly relaxing (until the tiles start running low!!) strategy/puzzle game. The goal of the game is to build as extensively as possible through strategic tile placement before running out of tiles. You score points placing tiles down - the more edges your adjacent tiles share, the better. As your village grows, you can complete small quests to unlock more tiles.

Every round is unique and challenging, while the atmosphere brings maximum chill. Players can enjoy sitting down for an extended session, or to play on the side.

Totally worth the $10. Good luck creating your magnificent village! 👍🏻

Mini Motorways is a colorful and wonderfully engaging game! It seems simple (connect your houses to the storefronts and have the cars pick up the pins) but it becomes much more complicated than that as your game progresses! You must find ways to manage the traffic that arises from the network you create. However, spawn locations of buildings is random, as are the upgrades you receive each week. Road tiles quickly become limited, and the puzzle element really comes into play when trying to figure out how to best use the space in front of you.

While this game can be stressful at times, I would say the overall experience is fairly casual. There are multiple speeds at which you can play, and you can pause freely to evaluate your situation (or walk away for a little while).

Definitely recommended! Good luck with your road designing endeavors!

Although this game has been in EA for a loooong time, it's clear the devs really care about 7 Days. The game has seen multiple iterations of game stages and continues to improve.

This game is way more enjoyable with friends, as looting and building are a necessity of life and there is only so much time between each horde night. Resource collection and crafting is grindy without altering XP gain, but you can build some really intensive forts and gear with some teamwork and patience.

The atmosphere is... spooky... and has gotten spookier over time. The zombie models have improved by leaps and bounds over the years, and newer POIs are deadly mazes, riddled with traps and zombies lurking around every corner.

On every 7th night comes the horde (which scales in difficulty with your own progression), and they can be a force to be reckoned with. Get creative with your base-building in order to improve your chances of survival!

Although I doubt I will ever be able to play this game again as it is legitimately 2spooky4me in its current state, those who enjoy a challenging co-op survival/sandbox experience, and are more inclined towards horror games, will likely find this game enjoyable. It's a solid experience and well worth the price.

Have fun zombie hunting! Take some out for me too, will ya? :)
