A simple recommendation doesn't give this game justice. Even after 100+ hours there are still places and events that make me feel just as amazed as I first did on 11/11/11. I see this game sucking up at least 500 hours of my life......this is the game that every gamer with even a twinge of adventurousness in their heart has been waiting for.

Easily one of the most entertaining games ever. Grab some deodorant, take a gander at the fantastic art style, and jump into the world like Mad Max on steriods. Hey, don't be shy now, get you one!

More pillz and guns and sad emo girls in tattered clothing with a serious case of PMS. It's the cheeseburger apocalypse with an extra helping of ketchup and relish. Loads of fun when you can play with a group of people who can laugh anything off and don't rage like elephants that got shot in the butt.

I was able to forgive the game's aged graphics for the intriguing storyline (a great mafia/revenge/business-gone-bad story) and also for the use of the well-illustrated comic book cutscenes, a unique attribute to the game that fits perfectly. Bullet time kept the fights fresh. Definitely a winner and worthy of a spot on the special game shelf.

A pretty interesting game, super atmospheric with exploration, creepy places, and adrenaline-inducing confrontations with mutants. It requires a lot of patience though at times. If you don't have the necessary supplies or keep on your toes, dying becomes pretty regular. On higher visual settings it's an especially gorgeous game and there are mods out there which can tweak visuals and events to make it even more enjoyable.
I play this not so much for the combat itself (although sniping a controller from a carefully selected position produces a nice amount of satisfaction) but more for the feeling of exploring in the Zone and that constant uncertainty of what I'm going to run into during my travels.
