This game is probably enjoyable for others, it's essentially an excuse to play simple arcade games. However, the quality of the arcade games alone doesn't justify a purchase alone, so they put together a story which has it's moments, most notably the parentally philosophical Bestwurst scene. It's ultimately trying to replicate the 80s arcade experience, but in reality is becomes a tedious simulation of mundane tasks, occasionally rewarding the player with mediocre arcade games.

That's fine, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. The game takes a long time to get started and earning all the achievements was a pain, so I'm glad this one is over. That said, if this is your type of game, arcade + simulation, then this is a really good game for you. Unfortunately, it was not for me.

I really wanted to like this game, I really tried, but I just can't. It's 36 years old at this point, and while the graphics are okay, the UI is killing me, leaving me frustrated even when playing casually. That said, I understand that my failure to enjoy it is on me, and I don’t blame the game for it. I just wish I could have experienced it before. I fear this might be the case for many younger players who might somehow buy it. I’d advise them to try the newer games or the remaster instead, as this one is rough to get into if you're from a newer generation.

As much as I appreciate this, Gartic phone is free and far superior.

There is really something about cleaning up after Santa cut up elves on a rampage, that really calms me down during the holidays. Very wholesome to play with friends while listening to Christmas music and cleaning up blood n ♥♥♥.

It's a cute game, and I started feeling a little philosophical while playing. However, easy puzzle games like this just aren't my thing. It's good for what it is, but I don't feel much of the puzzles carry any deeper meaning, except for the loosely philosophical and Sanskrit-inspired theme. Play it if you're into puzzles; otherwise, don't.

There used to be so many games like this on Steam that charged money but were nothing more than asset flippers. They were poorly made shooters with gameplay similar to Deathly Stillness. However, this game is free and knows exactly what it is. On the surface, that seems to be all there is to it, but as I played, I realised that the developer actually cares and that this could grow into something more.

Currently, it’s just a development showcase, a glimpse into game making, without any real content. But honestly, it’s worth spending 1–2 hours roaming around and killing zombies. I’ll definitely check back in a few years to see how it’s progressed.

It's a good time, don't get me wrong. But looking back, the game is pretty hollow. Sure, you are constantly doing something, but it's always you fighting one orc, then another, then another. Without any diversity, without any deep story telling that one would expect from a LOTR project. The parkour reminds me of Assassin's Creed, yet even more frustrating, which is bad considering that this game is technically a stealth game? I still think this is a pretty solid game, I had fun and I'm excited to play Shadow of War. However, I struggle to understand why it garners such unrestrained praise, as it feels more like a decent time than a groundbreaking masterpiece.

Despite its age, this game holds up remarkably well. Yes, the mechanics, UI, and controls feel dated, and there’s certainly room for refinement, but beneath these layers lies a gem. Its depth and strategy shine through, making it one of the map painting experiences of alltime. A true testament to what made these classic titles so captivating, even if time has weathered the edges.
