Overall, Starfield was a huge disappointment.

Pros:
-The gunplay feels good
-The shipbuilding is good.
-The game looks nice

The cons:
-Story is lacking (different perks and play-styles have little to no difference in the main story), not that it really matters, I had more fun just ignoring the story and patrolling as a deputy, which brings up the point, why can't you collect contraband and bring them to the police (in the case of being a deputy, why can't you bring it in to process it (like you would expect a law enforcement officer to do)
-Lack of options for "bad guy" role play (all of the companions are "good guys")
-Companions are not helpful at all for stealth-focused players and will routinely alert enemies of your presence.
-Most weapons look bad and there is a lack of weapon variety and modifications.
-Dragonborn powers... erm I mean Starborn powers are generally useless and I had no real need for them (the only one I used was the personal atmosphere one that refills your oxygen/stamina meter
-Lack of content on planets (unless you count the same procedural generated premade base assets reused thousands of times over and over again). You would expect at least one large settlement per each system.
-Bad character design
-Bad enemy AI (only real difference is they are bigger bullet sponges, which just make you feel weaker)
-Bad UI/menu (Looks nice but is organized in a way that makes menus a pain to use), it is so annoying to organize your inventory. Where's the simple things like maps in large cities.
-Annoying loading screens constantly. (not that they take forever to load, it becomes a hassle & annoying over time) Even a game like No Mans Sky let you fly/drive anywhere on the planet while in Starfield, you are limited to visiting small chunks of the planet at a time and have to load to go from planet to space.
-Base management is awful. The storage/inventory system for the bases are awful to work with.

Maybe modders can save this game like they did for Fallout 4, but I'll wait and see. Otherwise, it's a big disappointment. Might be worth it to play if you catch it during a sale.

tl;dr: Give it a few months and wait on patches/updates.

Game at release was a big disappointment and feels like a downgrade of the first game. Sure, the water texture is nice, but when all the other models and graphics are so bland and washed out (greyish/brownish tones), nothing really pops out at you. Tons of content from the original game & it's associated DLC are missing. The items that aren't missing are blocked behind an annoying development tree (yes the original had a type of tree, but everything of that cities level unlocks at once, not piece meal). Peaceable buildings/utilities are excessively huge in size. For example, solar farms are huge now, there needs to be smaller solar options for more flexible power options. Fire & police stations are needlessly large, especially if you are trying to go for a small-town aesthetic.. Meanwhile vegetation is so bland, many of the models look similar, . There are random issues with water/sewer lines not connecting into the city's water/sewer flow. I don't know if it's just me, but even in the fastest simulation speed, it feels like time is moving in at most, the middle time setting from the original Cities Skylines. Construction and development seems to take forever. Beyond that, decoration of your town is dumbed down and you can't even place bushes or trees in the middle or alongside roundabouts. Want large vegetation? Too bad, it is all small (even though irl, you can order many bushes & trees for the right price in grown sizes for replanting).

I'm super disappointed, as I've been a huge fan of city simulation games since SimCity 2000, but I was left with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth with this one. I will give it a few months, since Paradox is usually pretty decent about listening to their customers complaints, so I will give some time and give an updated review once the devs try to tidy up this mess.

Easily one of if not the best fan games out there. The work and effort they've put into this for the community is outstanding.

Bit on the shorter side, but I enjoyed the story. The only issue I had is that for a music based game, it relies disappointingly little on fighting to the rhythm.

Probably the most disappointing game of the Borderlands franchise. Everything feels weak, sniper rifles no longer reliably one hit kill most mobs from headshots unless it is an orange quality weapon (you can kill more and quicker with a pistol or SMG at range than a sniper, sadly). The story and what they have done with their past characters... to keep it polite, I really just don't care for the story in the least. With others, the game isn't too bad, but solo, it feels like a chore to play.

Generally, I wouldn't recommend a purchase unless you absolutely want to play to get caught up on the story, or if the game is on sale. If you haven't played a Borderlands game and want a good time, give Borderlands 2 a go instead.

When it first came out, it was a bit bare bones. The addition of various heists made it a ton of fun to play with friends. Then they kept increasing the prices of everything. The grind for any new content is absurd and almost forces players to buy expensive in game currency via "shark cards". Then you add in the god awful community playing it. Freemode isn't worth playing at all. Between modders/hackers, griefers, and people flying around on death motorcycles, I just don't really have any fun with that aspect. If you want to play single player, the story is great and the game is a ton of fun. However for today's mostly GTA: Online centric way that Rockstar is handling it, buyer beware.

Enjoyable music gives it a yes, but I can't stand the DJ.

The premier modern city simulator game. You would have to go back to 2003 to find a game (Sim City 4) that is close to the quality you get from Cities: Skylines. A quick warning though, if you are going to buy it, get a bundle because there are a ton of DLC.

This game can be super challenging and super fun. Had really good times with this. However the game really shines in multiplayer with friends.

Honestly, the Battle Royale aspect killed this game. The one mode people actually wanted, massive clash, never even got included in the game. Yeah, the map and graphics are nice, but you could experience more fun gameplay in Planetside 2.
