Sandbox megalith is getting better and better. A rare RPG that is as deep or as automated as you decide, ie you can walk around a city and find someone to talk to, or just click on their name from the map screen. You can fight alongside your troops or just send them in from the map screen. Many options that all work.

Refinements in combat, added depth with offhand abilities, and many good ideas taken from Bloodborne,
Really good, packed level designs, and varied enemies.
It is maybe overall too similar to DS1, too often paying homage to it.

Its one of my favourite games, very immersive, well written and well acted.

Just make sure you progress the story to the point of being able to fight before you go out on your own,
And mod it however works for you, I modded saving into the game as my sessions get interrupted frequently

In this game you fill a pointy helmet up with blood and then put it on your head. That's it, that's the game.
