Despite hundreds of hours playing this, I've yet to complete the main story. I went into this game having only played one other Elder Scrolls title, that being Oblivion which I enjoyed, and I had high hopes for this game. Initially I was blown away by Skyrim but after the novelty fades, I found myself criticising many aspects of it. That's not to say that it's a bad experience, just that their is room for improvement, contrary to the opinions of many casual gamers. Overall, Skyrim is a fantastic gaming experience that most competing open-world, fantasy, role-playing games can't live up to.

Pros:
Very replayable
Good character creation
Vast, dense map
A plethora of free user-made mods available
Rich and interesting lore

Cons:
Streamlined for casual gamers (this applies to The Elder Scrolls series post-Morrowind)
Reward system is kind of lacklustre
Can be clippy and buggy at times as is the nature of massive open-world games
Dragons often pose less of a threat than sabre-tooth cats, giants, trolls, bears, and even some human characters

I would not recommend this to any fans of the franchise. So many issues with the game; for example, if you activate a checkpoint and have to load the checkpoint, all NPCs will have reset. It's also rather linear in comparison with earlier Hitman games. Definately the worst thus far; stick with Hitman: Blood Money!

Good game. Much better than Sid Meier's Civilization and Revolution. Apparently not as good as Sid Meier's Civilization IV but I wouldn't know as I have yet to play it. Very enjoyable game. Plenty of free mods available. Have to admit though, the multiplayer is slightly disappointing but you can spend hours on singleplayer.

What is there to say? Classic game at a dirt cheap price. Good replayability. Great story. Awesome characters. Epic game.
