Bought mostly for charity, the pack its self is ugly this time around.

With out spoiling things, one of the best CoD campaigns sense BO2.

Gameplay wise everything is quite solid seems to have actually improved on mechanics from Cold war and MW3, which I know sounds like a default but you would be surprised how often this game back slides on those things.

So far only played the campaign and 2 rounds of zombies on liberty falls. Most the pre release its not zombies stuff for liberty falls was delt with and as the map goes you don't have to worry about the atmosphere not matching.

As for the campaign with out spoiling anything, one level. ONE LEVEL, makes me wish we had a Zombies focused Campaign because that was one of the most epic levels I have seen in A CoD game in a while. also hope that grapple hook shows up in at least a few Zombies maps down the line.

Half life meets any survival game with a good story, progression fill and quite addictive.

A fun game, with a good balance of dificulty, want a smooth game where you can be rambo play on easy, want to see what war really is jump into helldive.

Has a lovely evolving war and is rather fun with its two enemies a third to come in the future. Also the fact the community is influencing the war is fun.

on the PSN thing, Review bombing doesn't help anyone, you are raging at the symptom not the source take that stuff directly to Sony's sites not this game.

For power fantasy play on easy.

For I am going to die if I try to go outside at night, play on hard.

Either way, have fun kill zombies and remember crossbows are better then bows.

Thank the Gaben for the No-Vr mod, I wouldn't have been able to play this without it, have visual problems with VR can't do it.

That said, this is one of the best half life games I have ever played, Black mesa is the first place this is second, then HL2 third. Also Love the vorts being bad ass, even if we only see glimpses of it.

A really good mod and a must for those who likes Half life's setting. IT story is quite interesting and while it can be a bit cheesy it is quite fun. 10/10 can't wait to see what the dev team does next.

A bit buggy at the moment and I don't just mean the xenomorphs. That said is one of the better aliens themed tactical games out there which also isn't saying much as most of those are mods.

Game play is pretty solid for what it is, mines and snipers are OP on any open map allowing you to easily get through with out being noticed, your rookies are solid and useful even in the late game so don't be to concerned when that level 8 bad butt soldier dies... mostly as you can't save scum to keep him alive.

The biggest thing about this game is it is not a fast paced game, if you try to rush and go in with out prepping you will loose hard, but if you take it slow place mines and motion trackers as you go, weld doors to prep safe rooms for later and snipe things from a distance it is well a pretty fun game.

advice for players

Recon and mines are key, seriously get these ASAP. they allow you to keep your squad safe and low stress up until key moments.

Commanders are a lovely class to have at all times, their buffs and ability to stop stress gain during a large fight is key.

Medics are more useful then you would think, but sadly their use doesn't really start up till level 6, in early level they are more or less a slightly better recruit.

Techs are extremely useful while yes smart ass makes them a bit redundant, their combat drone can allow you a 5th/6th gun in the fight and a team of full techs with a single recon for long range threats is like having a firing squad that can wipe everything.... even if it goes through ammo to quickly.

Gunners are cool, flashy, and get to use the smart gun, make sure to use TAB to have them be the one using suppressing fire, as with their round upgrade they can literally kill a crusher mid charge on easy and medium with a combo of direct targetting and suppressing fire.

FLARES USE THEM, the moment you enter a fight toss a flare in the direction of the xeno's it will save your ass.

Grenades, aim ahead of charging creatures, they have a travel time, you don't need to do this as much with rockets which are your late game option for this abiltiy.

A solid mech game, its game play and time system reminds me of the old Xcom games but a lot more user friendly. Love how turns show a timeline of events so you can plan to them.

Also missile rain, beams, and railguns are freaking epic.

I kid you not one of my strats is to have a missile launcher with a one shot and 6 on the back along with a sniper, the missile constantly on the move the sniper almost a stationary turret.

On the front is a beamer with a oneshot as a back up, and an AR with a shield.

oh do not sleep on barrier parts if a part has a barrier it is superior to another part with out even if it has less direct HP, that regeneration is king.

Something is just off about it feels a lot less fun then previous games.
