Charming game with great visuals and voice acting. The story was more interesting than even the synopsis hints, and I found the ending satisfying. It's definitely worth playing.

Incredibly gripping game, the background lore is intriguing and the story at the centre of your journey will keep you guessing and theorising.

I recommend using free-aim mode, the lock-on aim can be clunky and lead to frustration.

The bosses in this game are a marked step down from previous games in the series, but it's compensated by one of the best open worlds ever created in a video game. I was intrigued by the lore but disappointed by the vague approach to storytelling FromSoft prefers, which is more noticeable here than in other games. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Elden Ring is the immense variety in builds, weapons and spells you can experiment with - though detracting from this is the fact that respec's cost a fairly rare item, so your experimentation is somewhat limited.

Overall, this is a game deserving of the immense success it has had, despite some flawed elements and failed experiments. However I would sincerely recommend you play the studio's previous titles if, like me, you found the bosses in this title lacklustre. Particularly Sekiro or the first two Souls games.

Work of art, perfection, masterpiece, 40% off

This is probably the game which has had the most visceral, emotional impact on me of any title. You won't need a wiki or a guide; if you give Outer Wilds a chance you'll become lost in its' charm. There is nobody I wouldn't recommend this game to.

A heartfelt, immersive game which leans into the potential of the medium as an art form, not just pure entertainment. It manages to provoke introspection whilst also boasting fun gameplay over the course of a meaningful story. It is significantly easier than its' cousin, Gods Will be Watching, allowing you to pursue the philosophically rich story without getting stuck on puzzles. I hope the developers are proud of this beautiful game.

Ignore negative reviews. People who can't beat this game are just stupid. You're not stupid, are you?
