Absolutely fantastic experience, that really in almost natural or scary way portrays what world and every day normal interactions look like for someone suffering from mental illness or schizophreny.

Since I wasn't playing it during its golden age I've never built any nostalgia towards it, however I can see why so many people are looking back at it with love and passion.
Personally I wasn't a fan of the story at all, in my opinion it was a big step back from BO1. The parts in the future were really uninspiring and bland, main character not nearly as memorable as mason, and overall it was quite a weird experience. I am not really a fan of the setting, however I really loved the concept of jumping back and forth between past and present. Shame we didn't get all the weapons from the past in multiplayer (like mp5 or m82)
Multiplayer is also really fun. I could say that this was the closest activision got to fully figuring out the call of duty formula. Theres great deal of content to go through, and most of it is more or less viable. Maps are hit or miss, some are really good, some are painfully bad.

Tl; Dr as someone that doesn't have an ounce of nostalgia towards this game, playing it for the first time in 2021, I can safely say that it was a really good entry and I really enjoyed my time playing through entire first playthrough (levels 1-55), albeit whether it is the *best* call of duty in the lineup would be arguable. However, it is admittedly one of the best call of duties to release

Absolutely fantastic game, great coop for couples, not that I would know anything about it.

Great writing, outstanding soundtrack, a perfect to kick back and enjoy pretty scenery and likable characters well and properly voice acted.

On downside, this game will totally not make you realize how lonely you are, welcome to cope-ville :^)

I mean... Ehh, I guess it just simply isn't a game for me.
Now, I see that a lot of people will like (or even love) this game.

But for me, smearing my testicles across sandpaper would be a more engaging experience than this

Extremely short but very peculiar and interesting experience

incredible classic, well written story and characters

The amounts of testosterone made me grow a 3rd testicle

It has potential to be first proper adult game that has quality, effort and gameplay behind it, but right now its way too early access for the price. I hope it will be shaped into something worth its price eventually
