You like ID software's Doom Series?
Their early work was a little too classy for my taste. But when DOOM came out in 2016, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp gameplay, and a new soundrack by Mick Gordon that really gives the game a big boost. It's been compared to Classic Doom, but I think 2016 has a far more faster, brutal sense of gameplay.
In 2020, ID released this: Doom Eternal, their most accomplished game. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Kar En Tuk". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of ripping and tearing demons in hell. It's also a personal statement about the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened.
