I don't understand why people have to be rude and toxic to each other. I just want to have fun and enjoy life.

Fun is not zero sum, you don't have to remove other people's fun to have your own. And if you feel like you don't have any fun if you're not ruining someone else's day then I hope you get to a better place in life.
