Until the devs can get the game working properly, I'd avoid the game. The game crashes so often that it can become an unplayable mess a good amount of time.

This game is easily one of the most relaxing games I've ever experienced. It's less a game and more of stress relieving therapy for me.

Lot of balls in the game. Cargo pants required for the amount of stuff you get to pick up too.

But seriously though, play this with at least one friend or a group of friends. The game is great with friends, solo, not so much.

A lesson for Bungie on how NOT to make an expansion

This expansion is definitely a perfect lesson for Bungie to learn on how to not make an expansion. They got the background they were trying to go for: A neo-futuristic nostalgia trip to the 80's and 90's where everything was campy and corny. That's a positive that they hit a bullseye with. However, that is pretty much the only thing they got correct, while everything else was a massive miss.

Campaign Story

It's... there? Somewhere. Sure, you get to kill things, "try" the new class out, but it like they're really trying to force-feed you the class in the campaign. The story itself is really campy and corny, but not in the good way. It has a lot of cheesy moments, and at this point, I don't really feel like most of the new characters stuck with me. The only one that really did was Nimbus, and the only reason he did was because he has the gung-ho, "it's going to be alright" type of attitude, though it's played on too thickly, even during the more somber parts of the campaign. I don't know how, but Bungie created the room, yet they still somehow managed to not read the room. That's an achievement.

Strand
It's fun, but that's the extent of it. They really need to rethink this because it felt rushed, and seems to be buggy.

Thoughts
Overall, I just can't get myself to recommend it to anyone. This expansion in comparison to Witch Queen felt like it was rushed or that they had a great thing going, but decided to scrap it at the last second. It's early on, and there are still 3 seasons. I hope they flesh out the story more during those seasons, but with the way it's at right now, I just can't get myself to say that it's a good expansion. It's serviceable, but that's the best thing to say about it.

Whatever Bungie was trying to go for in the climatic part of the story, this ain't it, chief.
