I enjoyed this game. A lot. The puzzels were nice, the gravity gun was fun, and most importantly, I loved the train. I hope to god that the devs take the train mechanics and turn it into an entirely standalone game.

This game is just... bad.

My experience with this game was:

1) Going though the prologue, which ammounted to killing a few zombies and walking to a set of doors.

A lot of my problems are evident in the prologue. First, the gunplay just feels awful. The guns are too far up to the point where they take up most of the screen.

The sprinting is so bouncy and camera shakey that it gave me motion sickness.

And the story, I had no idea what was going on at all. I was walking from point a to point b with no idea why.

2) I was then thrust into the blandest of bland hospitals, with mostly basic geometry and a lot of doors. I followed a random firefighter who took a medkit from me, then died. I then got into an elevator and was teleported to a now broken down hospital. I am forced to run through a corridor with zombies forcing me down a path until I got stuck. I found a table on top of another tabel. For about 10 minutes I tried to get past it. Eventually I just gave up and nocliped past it. Later in my playthrough I found that the z button makes you go prone. (It wasn't needed at all by the time I gave up anyway.) I then walked down the funnel hallway until I got to the front door, where the game fades to black.

3) I am now in a boring urban center with no defining features. Because of a lack of story and general direction I stumble around until I find a knife, which caused an explosion to happen which opened a path for me to follow. I ran forward to find a military encampment. I jump into it and pick up a weapon and join the soldiers fiting the combine? I think. They just look like some randomly thrown together textures put onto a combine model and made double size. After fighting them for a while I found they were infinently respawning, so I just ran past them. I then went up a ramp where it faded to black.

4) After the map loaded, I was placed on the wrong side of the invisible wall, and was forced to noclip through it. I then ran through some more enemies to a glass building where I found... another fade to black.

5) After it loaded (Have I mentioned how long the load times are? They are reallllllllly long.) I found myself in a building. I go up some stairs and find a pair of elevators. I call one down, which for some reason summons the horde. After fighting the zombies for a while, the elevator arrives. I jump in it, and it silently moves upwards. I then find a pair of night vision goggles. I then spend another 10 minutes trying to put them on, looking in the controls multiple times. (Thats how I found out about prone.) I give up and just turn on mat_fullbright 1 to get through the dark. While I go through the level, I flick through my weapons to find that my NVG is one of them. I contnue throught the level, just wandering around until I find the next fade to black.

I did some other stuff after this, but it I honestly dont remember any of it,

I'd say give this game about 2-3 Years of constant development. That might fix it.

This mod is good only if your looking for something to kill about 10 minutes.
Basically this is just a mindless shooter, blast a small amount of enimies and your done.
Basic Story:You are a scientist for Black Mesa tasked with retrieving a xen crystal from some random cargo ship.
Why are the aliens: I don't Know.
Why is a xen crystal on a random ship: I don't Know.
Wasn't G-Man the one who brought the crystal to Black Mesa: Yes.
Why would you play this game: You wouldn't.
This game dosen't even fit into the Half-Life universe.
