Putting economy in the hands of players to this extend, was doomed to fail. Who would have known it would fail THIS HARD. Horrible game, mediocre to even bad lore, mainly just a huge grind...

This extremely addicting Tower Defense game, brings some very interesting and fun 3-Dimensional complexity I have never seen before. Being able to build towers on a wall to have a permanent high ground for them and thus more vision, or halfpipe maps where long range towers can shoot at both sides completely changes the standard dynamic of a "flat" level tower defense game.

Besides the amazing gameplay, the Quality of Life features are very nice to have as well. Multi-select towers, mass upgrades and auto-upgrade are great Quality of Life most Tower Defense games do not have, but also ones like speeding up time and rushing waves is in (and works flawlessly).

One gigantic downside, is the highly annoying max structures. Being able to only build a certain amount of towers (50-70), while some levels having room for 200+ tower spots, is frustrating to say the least.

Overall a great game for anyone who loves tower defense and well worth the price! I am hoping we can see more levels AND MORE ACHIEVEMENTS! Soon!

Not the best survival type game, not even a decent one. Besides the spyware that they install on your computer, that runs without the game being on, automatically starts up when you start your computer up and that does not get uninstalled when you uninstall the game... The game is just another one in a genre that most companies are milking right now, without much innovation.

Very fun and interesting game, with some of the best systems from Warframe and Destiny 2. It is a lot of fun, especially with friends, but even with randoms for the missions that almost are unable to be soloed. The automatic match making works flawless in getting me a group when I want to do a quick run when none of my friends are online or when they are already busy with something.

There is certainly room for improvement. No game is perfect, but this absolutely hits the right spots for a fun and interesting game. And with it being a seasonal game with new content regularly, it should get balance updates and fixes just as regular (something that most seasonal games see happen as well, as they amount of scheduled updates are more frequent).

Absolutely would recommend!

Early Access Review
A very well thought through game with unique features in a unique setting. A lot better then the 49289475th standard asset survival game, this is very fun to play, both solo and with friends!

Love the game so far, can see myself sink in a unhealthy amount of hours!

Early Access Review
Outside of a few minor bugs that were there on the Early Access release, the devs hotfix EXZTREMELY quickly, and since launch we had a handful of patches to fix, improve or even change things already.

The Game (even with the few minor issues) was very playable, but is now a good game. A lot of games go live (not early access, but release) with more bugs and issues then Soulmask had so far in their Early Access.

The gameplay is fun and well thought through, there is a decent progression system and a variety of difficulty and builds for different gameplay styles. Although all survival games have a farming/grinding element to them, Soulmask manages very well to start you off on resources like they are hard to get, and then move you into easy to get.

So far, I would put this right up there with Enshrouded, another amazing game where the devs work their arses off to give the players what they deserve, a good, stable and fun game!

Year, it has been since a proper new Age of Empire release. But it was worth it! It is still a lot of fun to play, with friends, randoms or VS computer. Expecting to easily clock 300+ hours in this by the end of 2022.

I used to play this a ♥♥♥♥ ton on phone. One of the most interesting idle (with optional semi-active) incremental games out there. There is a lot of depth to it, especially compared to other incremental/idle games.

With regular events, that are identical in basics (as the basics is your regular play) the details and crafting combinations are vastly different and require you to think what item do you upgrade first? With the events, your regular play is spiced up very nicely. While the events are fun and short, they do have the potential to give amazing rewards for your regular play. So participating in them is optional, yet a major benefit!

There is the ability to invite your friends, you can get some rewards from having several friends, and the more you got linked the better (in mobile the max was 9, not sure what it will be now...) but I noticed that in the PC version you can not spam rewards anymore, although this is technically a 'nerf', it does make it a bit more balanced then it was before.

One thing I personally disliked, is the fact I had to start over. Cross play would be amazing, but I also know (as a developer and programmer myself) this is extremely hard and this was written within 48 hours of the PC version launching. So maybe if we are lucky :D

Although the game, coming from mobile to PC, has it's micro transactions that give it a slight 'pay to win' side, I have never paid on phone (and do not expect to do on PC either!)

As with the mobile version, it is free to play and you CAN keep it that way and still enjoy a lot of content. The micro transaction currency is sparse early on but will get more abundant when you get further in the main game and are active in events. You get 1 gem daily, right from the start. And you can upgrade this with both achievements and paying those gems (which will be slow, but CAN be obtained from events as well!)

Although some minuses in my opinion, the game is just as amazing as I once found it on mobile, with some new things and balance updates, it might be even better! I full hardly suggest people try this! (Take a week, as it is an incremental xD )

Early Access Review
Please note, this review was written while the game was in Early Access, but it does show the general direction the game is currently headed in.

As a tower defense veteran, I can truly say that this game is broken. It starts out being unbalanced right from the start, even at the lowest difficulty in the first few levels. The towers simply do not do enough damage as well as their attack speed is abysmal. The UI was a pain every time I had to look at it and certain things are just in a weird place. Upgrade button is in the far bottom right corner, even on maps where you only use the top left quadrant of your screen (because the rest of the "level" is just graphics and animations with no real function). The fact the menus are in some hyroglyphical languages, which does not always makes as much sense, makes it hard to navigate through the menu's as well, unless you want to start remembering ancient Egyptian or smh...

I purchased the game, as it looked like and was inspired by another TD game I adored all three versions off so far. However this was not 'insprired' by other games, it was copy pasted from other games. I have reported this to Steam as well, as I am pretty sure this is copyright fraud and asked for a refund as I can not support game devs with this low of an attitude.

I decided to give up before I started hating myself, which happened within the hour.

TL;DR
Unbalanced, hard to figure things out even for experienced TD players, terrible UI, most of your screen will not be used due to random, useless animations and graphics, hyroglyphs instead of text make it hard to navigate menus. Most likely copyright fraud from another game trilogy...

General Overview (9.2 / 10)
The third of very easy to learn, straightforward, strategy tower defence games with skills, heroes and talent points. Kingdom Rush scored 8.6, Kingdom Rush; Frontiers scored 8.4!

1. Gameplay (9)
As I got used to from Kingdom Rush games, it has good explanations. It is not too flexible where you build but very flexible what you build, just like the previous two games. The Heroes now give you an extra global ability which certainly adds to the gameplay, as it is different for each hero and can be levelled to make stronger!

2. Content (9)
New enemies, towers and heroes, an extra ability that changes per hero (upgradable), new story and new levels. Had a lot of fun getting most of the achievements and challenges done! The towers feel more unique than the games before.

3. Graphics (8)
Exactly as with the first two, just the right kind of graphics for the type of game. Not too fancy, but simple, clear graphics that are not distracting from important mechanics.

4. Comparisons (10)
Compared to other TD games, this one as well is vastly better than most. Compared to its two prequels, it was better as well! An amazing game, which might even be the new #1.

5. Price (10)
MOAR CHEEP GAYMS LIK DIS PL0X! It is, just like the two predecessors, worth more then it costs.

Bugs (-0)
None that I am aware of.
