Very cool game. Good graphics and lots to explore.

With the way this game is going, it seems the developers have grand designs to turn this game into the sort of game that goes after the same sort of headlines that EVE made. That being huge battles between organizations and dramatic tales of that sort. However NQ doesn't understand how to actually get to that point without screwing over the small, independent player in the process.

EVERYTHING is geared towards and balanced for organizations, and NQ's stance on anything regarding solo players is basically "join an org and stop being solo"

I didn't want to leave a negative review for this game, but there are several reasons why I should (and am).

Typically, a game like this would be right up my alley. A game about logistics and production lines and efficiency. Also it's on a sphere and I'm a sucker for spheres. On the surface it looks great and fun. However, when getting into it a lot of the problems show through.

Pros:
-A rather relaxing logistics experience, good for if you want to kill an hour or so without any gameplay stress.
-Trains.
-Spheres. Did I mention I like spheres?
-Calm relaxing background music.

Cons
-There seems to be no real goal aside from completing the steam achievements and getting on the steam leaderboards. If neither of these things matter to you, then you're going to feel like you're going nowhere.
-There is a metric for how much you're producing, but there's no real cost management here. Rails and trains are free to build, there's no maintenance costs. And as a result there's really no point to the economy aside from getting on the steam leaderboard.
-There is a resource called Moon Crystals, that are meant to be researched. As far as I can tell, researching these moon crystals does nothing except for give you another resource to manage. It unlocks a single steam achievement but otherwise does nothing.

For all of the cons I mentioned, the full price of the game is $17, at the time of writing shortly after launch it's $10.19. If I had bought this game for either of those prices, I would have refunded it.

However that's not to say that this game is without promise. It could very well be worth the money one day, if it would do things like add a use for the economy, moon crystals, etc. Simply put, steam achievements and leaderboards are not compelling enough reasons to do what the game wants you to do, and that's really the only motivations at play here.

Loaded it up to test that everything works correctly with the broadcasting software, then suddenly it was three hours later.

This game is a blast, it's addictive, it will grab you by the seat of your pants and wont let go until you have some other prior commitment that pulls you away. Even then it'll be in the back of your mind. What if I use barrage with grenades? What if I use loaded mines with Vortex? Oh how about a stealth ship with dying star?

I did not know of this game before it was sent to me. But if I had, and known how much fun it would be, I would have gladly paid the full price for the game. It is certainly worth $15, perhaps more.

Dont buy it separately. Get it for free with the $20 DLC bundle when you buy the other two DLCs that are actually worth purchasing.

Old ladies just aint what they used to be.

Having finished the game, heavily heavily recommend it. Although I'd like to state the few issues I've seen.

1. My system isn't terrible. Despite that I've had to run at lowest graphical settings and the game STILL hangs somewhat often, especially when turning to fast. The game looks great while it's running normally.

2. People complain about Microtransactions, and yeah, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ practice, but you can buy either praxis kits or credits, both of which are available in game. They're not offering anything you can't get otherwise. The shop menu is at the main main and it never pressure you or throws the microtransactions in your face. So while I can understand some people's outrage, I do think it is excessive.

3. DLC you can only use once, ever. Not okay but it's a free praxis, so it's not the end of the world.

Still a 9/10 game. Story is straight up 10/10. Heavily recommended.

Edit: To the people who say "lulz you finished the game one day after release?" I've played it for pretty much every waking hour since it has released, and at time of writing I have 25 hours in the game. I plan on playing again for a full pacifist/ghost run and to change some decisions I made, as well as playing the "I didn't ask for this difficulty"

Based on the trailers, convention panels and screenshots, this game is not what I expected it to be. It's not worth $60 to me, although if it goes on sale for $20-30 I might pick it up again.

Heard that one should play this game, and I picked it up on sale for $2.

THEN I GOT HIT BY THE FEELS TRAIN.

Pro's - Everything in this game is amazing. What is amazing? Everything. What is everything? Can you think of it? Then yes, that is amazing.

Con's - The only thing that isn't amazing is that it didn't last forever. I needed this experience to last forever.
