Awesome fun! 47 hours of sore thumbs but plenty more content to discover.

Abit disappointing they missed out so many well-thought puns for this game. C'mon man, how hard is it to get Hades say "will the real slim shade-y, please stand up?"??

When I bought Witcher III: Wild Hunt, I had the impression that it will be similar to The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, but the game proved to be a class of its own.

The immense main storyline is abit frustrating at first, but the character buildup (particularly Geralt and Ciri) is solid. What I like about it is players will have to make quick decisions as the story goes and every interaction is a buildup to the story's finale ending. The ending is realistic, non fairy-tale like everyone-lived-happily-ever-after. It's also interesting to see the story goes from comical to "WTF" dark settings.

The combat mechanics can be overwhelming for beginners, but it shouldn't take too long to master it and allowing players play on "Death March" difficulty.

The minigame Gwent deserves a whole piece of review itself. Unfortunately same as the combat mechanics, it will take some to learn the basics, and abit more time to upgrade your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Gwent card deck. Just keep buying cards from innkeepers/merchants if you can find one.

What I didn't like about the game is I need to be at a signpost to fast travel to another location. I still like exploring the world, but it gets repetitively boring when I'm trying to clear quests. Fortunately, there are plenty of "modded" solutions for that.

Overall, this game is still a masterpiece every RPG lover should try. It leaves a void in you after the ending that makes you begging for Witcher IV.
