Rainbow Six: Siege teaches us one thing very quickly: Nowhere is safe. My only hope---our only hope---is coordination. Even then, the best laid plans of mice and terrorists often go awry.

Players have also been experiencing quite a few bugs, from little graphical glitches to more serious problems. One time my keyboard just wouldn't work anymore, but only for Siege. Other games were working just fine. I could hide but I couldn't run. Bugs and graphics aside, this is a tight, strategic shooter with great maps, destructible environments, and fast, fun matches. The core is PvP, but co-op is also available in the players-vs-bots mode Terrorist Hunt. That's a fun objective-based mode you can play with teammates or as a "lone wolf."

The smooth blend of stealth tactics and furious firefights keeps players on their toes, with the various operators offering unique ways to experience each map and game-mode. Different options for Attackers and Defenders helps keep Siege's playability levels high, and I personally can't wait to see what plans Ubisoft has for this game in the future.

I bought the game only. No dlc. I do not regret a thing. It takes a bit of grinding to unlock the year 2 characters, but it saves money. There are a few things that I would love to see change in the game.

Spawn peeking is frustrating.
Peekers advantage is annoying.
Combine both of them and it is horrible.
Glaz's buff is overkill. He was strong enough as he was.
Fuze's projectiles bounce too far, and they do too much damage.
Castle and IQ are basically useless in mid level games, beginners don't know how to deal with them and pros know how to use them.
Bartlett U Terrorist Hunt Bomb Defusal with the yellow gas is near impossible. Rainbow Six Siege is a solid FPS. The community is better than most and the developers listen to feedback, which is sorely needed and a breath of fresh air in the PC gaming world.

Of course there are some balancing, network latency, and team system problems, but Siege still has a framework that works and is constantly being improved upon. Every map has complexity that can be learned through experience, but is frustrating for beginners. Even the game system itself has so many mechanics to learn that it can be very frustrating at the start. This also gives the game great variety and replay value, however, and still retains its value well beyond a year after release. Just embrace that Siege isn't quite like the other shooter games that you play.

Terrorist Hunt lacks the variety and spontaneity that multiplayer offers, but still acts as a healthy diversion from the sometimes frustrating multiplayer experience.

Remembering how far this game has come since its beta just strengthens my resolve that it will continue to be a great FPS with a healthy population for (hopefully) a long time.
Matchmaking is broken, you can start the search, wait 4 mins then restart the search and get instantly in game.

Overall though it is a solid game with a decent community. I have experienced less cancer and less toxicity from the r6 community than the TF2 or CSGO. I would recommend the game, but buy ONLY the game first to see if you enjoy it, otherwise it is a waste of money.
