Gameplay too complex and story driven for a doom game (also ridiculous story, even by Doom standards). Removes player agency by forcing you to play in a very specific way. Removes the beauty and simplicity of what Doom has always been about by forcing the player to use a unique and specific playstyle (certain weapons for certain ennemies, using chainsaw to replenish ammo all the time, grenades to replenish armor). Boring.
