I was blown away by the high level of polish this game has.

The sheer amount of effort it must have taken to hand-pixel every unique enemy and armor is incredible. I was shocked to see that everything I equipped on my paper-doll was actually rendered on screen. That's some serious dedication that many people might not care about, but I LOVE that the devs were crazy enough to do.

The combat system of this game is also very unique, but it manages to work very well to make every fight dynamic.

The looting/upgrade system was also very neat and it ties in very well to the overall themes of the story. I made sure to have a base set of gear locked in and then gambled away trying to get a better set to wear. I'm glad that your weapon/shield are still usable when broken!

The only things I didn't fully enjoy was the length of some areas and the dialogue. I thought some places went on a little too long to become somewhat repetitive. Also, your sidekick is annoying too the point of not being fun to listen to. I'd rather not have a quipping companion if possible.

Still, this is a game I would highly recommend to others as long as they are comfortable and confident in their mouse usage. I'm sad to see that this game isn't praised that much, because I think it's a labor of love that deserves more people to play. I'm letting all my friends know to pick it up.

Good luck devs, I hope you can continue to make more products like this!

The art direction of this game is very well done. The setting with the art design really shines when it shows off the stuttering/janky movement of the automatons. There are some neat ideas in place here, but after 6 hours I feel like it's full of padding. I keep on running into the same handful of enemy types in each area, and apart from some elemental attacks they all feel way too samey. I gave up when I realized that I was going to have to backtrack through levels and fight the same enemies over and over.

The level design looks nice, but the actual layouts all seem to blend together. What looks like open areas are just linear hallways with every side path blocked off. Every area seems way too big for the small number of enemies.

This is by no means a terrible game, but it doesn't do anything noteworthy in the gameplay to make it worth a recommendation. It plays like a soulslike, but with less polish. I know that game design is extremely difficult, but when you have a game that just plays too similar to a souls game, most people will just prefer playing the souls games instead.

Everything is in here that could make a pretty good game, but it just doesn't form together to make a great final product. I hope the devs can keep on making new games, because I feel with more experience that they can really put out a better product.

An incredibly fun and replayable """rougelike""" shooter. The combat and movement are both incredibly satisfying. You always feel in control of your character and when you lose it really is all your fault. The upgrade system allows for some pretty neat builds, which I'm looking forward to trying on the other characters I unlocked.

The controls/graphic setup is super customizable which really helps to make the game feel better to play.

Really my only main complaints are about the logs/quest progression. Going out of your way to collect logs slows your time down, which basically means you're going to get a lower rank for trying to explore. This makes it harder to do a full run if you're going for logs.

I'm not a huge fan of the music, but that's a personal preference.

Overall, this game is packed full on fun content especially for the price it's being offered. Highly recommend picking it up and telling your friends to buy it as well. We need more single player games like this, so support these devs so more can be made!

It's one of the best shooters I've played in a while. I'm really racking my brain trying to think of anything this game did wrong, and I don't think I can. Amazing movement, useful weapons, tons of variety, and all for ONLY $5!!! Highly recommend picking it up!

This is an insane deal for $6, considering the amount of content from such a small developer!

One of the best controlling platformers I've played in a long time. Once you master the controls and powerups you can really zoom around most of the levels. My only issue in that regard is sometimes wall kicking instead of grabbing a ledge, but that really isn't an issue for the most part.

The music fits in very well with the level design, and reminds me a lot of a CV64 feel with the muted aesthetic.

Because the platforming in this game is buttery smooth (for the most part), which is why I wonder why the dev put combat into the game. Honestly there's no need to have combat in this, because it feels so basic compared to everything else in the game. Thankfully it rarely is used, so you can focus more on how great it feels to move around the levels.

I know this game comes from a small dev, but I really wish there was some sort of map. Just something like a way to show what areas connect to each other, or where there was a key/item that you couldn't reach beforehand would have been super helpful.

Still, for ONLY $6 there's no reason to not pick this up if you're a fan of 3D platformers.

A fun game that has a difficulty curve that's a straight wall. The first few levels are about as hard as they can get, so if you can beat the first "space" level you can handle everything else the game will throw at you. You have to learn all of the game's mechanics on your own, so be prepared for some frustration. Apparently the primer is the ideal way to get into this game, but I played this one first. Either way, if you can get over the extremely high initial hurdle there's plenty of fun to be had.

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge.

Imagine if someone made Redneck Rampage but the weapons were good.

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge

They spent a ton of time and effort making a game feel like a teenager's attempt at a duke nukem conversion

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge

Making a ton of weapons that all feel pretty useful in different situations

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge

Has some weird enemy/health/weapon placements, but that can be written off as being authentic.

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge

The game completely broke on me at one point and I nearly had to restart the entire save until I managed to do a completely jank weapon hover to reach a key because the entire building disappeared.

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge.

The amount of interactable items makes it worth it to fully explore every area, and it has the best carnival level since BLOOD

The S-Blade has a hackblood charge

It's not the most amazing game of all time, but it's 100% worth checking out. But most importantly, The S-Blade has a hackblood charge.

whoever at Croteam decided that Sam needed a crew of borderlands tier written characters needs to take a break. The best part of Serious Sam 3 was The Talos Principle coming from the assets, so I hope we get a sequel from the stuff used for this game.

It's Hexen. If you like Hexen you'll like this game.

I had no issues with the level design, but it will require some exploration and looking at the map frequently to find the little nooks and crannies you may have missed.

The music is serviceable and fits the overall theme of the game.

The weapon design is good overall, with a large amount of variety. However, every weapon feels weak. Enemies take way more hits than what feels good, even on medium difficulty. When the basic enemies rarely die to a gigantic fireball or scythe swing you're left wondering why even bother with using anything but the basic weapons, which kill those enemies in roughly the same amount of time.

Also, there's almost zero point in using necromancy in the game because your companion AI will just run into walls 90% of the time, and the other 10% they'll hit you with their friendly fire shots while trying to go after an enemy.

The inventory system can also be a pain during the middle of a fight. I bound mousewheel to inventory and a side mouse button to use an item, which I *HIGHLY* recommend so you can more easily move between all your items without having to stop.

Still, I think it's definitely worth playing if you want an old-school shooter. It took me ~9 hours to beat the campaign on normal difficulty with only using autosaves (which means that the game only saves on level entry/exit).
