The game that introduces young "Nero" (weird spelling of "Dante") and has you run through the game backwards as old Dante (an interesting parody of the game itself as the levels get old real fast). Combat is stylish as ♥♥♥♥ though and doesn't hand out S ranks as frequently as EA releases broken games, making the months of training and the carpal tunnel syndrome suddenly feel worth it.

11/10 would fall in love with Dante again

Play using multiple monitors, in windowed mode, with keyboard and mouse, while a friend intermittently disconnects your computer from the Internet for the ultimate Dark Souls hardcore experience.

DISREGARD OTHER REVIEWS FOR THIS GAME UNTIL YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS A TERRIBLE PC PORT. The game is fantastic gameplay-wise with an interesting and engaging story and one of the greatest open-worlds of this generation. Personally, this is my favorite Saints Row game. The problem here is the port. The port suffers from technical bugs, poor optimization, and crashes upon launch if you have multiple monitors, too many backgrounds running, etc. There are currenty three solutions to the issue: use third party mods to try and fix the game (won't necessarily work), power through the technical issues (often unrealistic and still will not solve everything), or just get lucky. If you have a console, that is the place to buy it. If not and you really want to experience the world of Stilwater, give this port a shot when it goes on sale for 50-75% off. Otherwise, Saints Row 3 may be your best bet if you're looking for a similar experience.

0/10 Too much fun nut-punching people and wreaking havoc in the city to progress in the story
