They don't make games like this anymore, which includes this remaster, you can however improve the performance by some simple config file changes https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3329739558, obviously still needs to be patched to work well out of the box, actually support the controllers they advertise, to run in ultrawide and fix some smaller bugs with desynced audio or missed inputs. If you just want to play the games and are willing to mess with it there are others ways to do so which do not cost $40 which even if this port was perfect is a bit of a tough sell for a very basic port of 12 year old game, so for this price especially it should be a flawless experience for those who choose to support it.
I'm changing my review to positive early as I can play the game now trusting that an official patch will also be released soon so everyone can play without the initial bad impressions.
The game itself is great aside the technical issues like the controls being a bit clunky sometimes, nothing is censored in the original mode (which is the default), music and some outfits are missing due to legal issues and I have to say that some of the new music most likely isn't as good as the original (that I haven't played to compare directly, some of the new tracks are just boring) so while sadly this is not a 100% perfect definitive edition I would still absolutely recommend it on a sale and after it gets patched, if they really can't make anything new that can compare to these games then I will gladly take more 360 games as long as they are good PC ports, bring on Shadows of the Damned next.

My original rarly launch first impressions review - negative:
I'm very disappointed to have to report that the PC port is in a terrible state 4 hours after launch, the frame rate sometimes reaches 30 with most of the time staying in the mid to high 20s with occasional drops to the 10s at 1440p (16:9 because there is no 21:9 support) on a RTX 2060 Super, and the DualSense support is a lie too, there's no native support wired or wireless, Steam Input must be used and the controls feel extremely clunky and delay, no doubt partially due to the terrible performance.
I was really excited to play this finally on PC and wanted to support it for being uncensored but it almost feels like they forgot to upload the day 1 patch on Steam if not worse and they just accidentally published an older dev build, hopefully they can fix it as soon as possible.

Come across Reina trailer > Download Demo > Wishlist TEKKEN 8 > Buy TEKKEN 7 > Download more BNamco Demos > Wishlist more games
Well I wanted to say that MK1 definitely won't get me to do the same for WB games but actually I might just put them on the ignore list if this is the best they've got.

Obviously it doesn't help the game itself is bad anyways, terrible optimization, unresponsive controls, 123GB download for no content, I'll have to assume mtxes up the ass but the real price is hidden for free weekend users which confirms my suspicions, Denuvo.
I guess it does look nice at least but so does TEKKEN without the frames dropping all the time so yeah..

It's sad that simple little games like this are not allowed to exist anymore.

There's few maps and weapons but nearly everything can be blown up, it is fun.

Hopefully Nexon does not blow the game up but it's almost certain they will, it's just a matter of time so if interested I'd recommend getting your matches in sooner rather than later before they completely change half the game for the worse for no reason like every live service does.

Standards downsides as with all of these types of games: DX12 only/W10 only/EAC+Always online+Account (don't fall for email scam, it's not required, only gives 100 useless coins, beta rewards are unlocked regardless)/Live services/MTXes up the ass/etc..

I really want to like this game but it’s hard.

It just feels a bit off compared to the original, everything feels more soulless and boring.
The controls have been “simplified” for controllers I guess so it doesn’t play quite as well as it should, like other games give the option to toggle autorun, here it’s just automatically always on where the game tries to assume what your next move will be leading to quite a few accidental wallruns at inconvenient times.

The worst issue is the horrible optimization, it lags terribly, especially for Mirror’s Edge it completely breaks the flow to have a delay on every input. At least it was mostly consistent for me so I could get used to it but definitely would’ve enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so broken. It was always like this and it’s never gonna get fixed and there’s not much one can do to fix it.
I’m way beyond the recommended requirements, game and saves are on a fast SSD, I have fast internet, I’ve tried all the known fixes, both controller and kbm the lag persists, some things can reduce it but it never fully goes away. Denuvo is probably not helping.

I’ve also has issues replaying the original recently but this is way worse in every way and none of the fixes work, even with the issues the original is pretty much perfect compared to the issues of Catalyst.

It’s not a bad game just disappointing, could’ve and should’ve been much better, I’ll still recommend it as it can be had for cheap, it’s more Mirror’s Edge there’s nothing else like it or that even comes close and if you’re lucky it may even run well and then it’s more fun, I still enjoyed it as much as I could but coming from the first game this one is definitely not as good, just keep that in mind.

Finally, Ov.. Counter Strike for the modern age, now with less content, more questionable changes, bad optimization, arbitrarily raised system requirements with same crap graphics and forced upgrades! It's good tho cus Valve!

Who doesn't like level 0/year 0/0 games/haven't set up their profile yet's unloading their magazines into the ground, teammates and flashing themselves every round?

TLDR: Gamers don't play Counter Strike anymore for good reason, bots suck and offline is broken so save yourself the trouble and just play Source instead.

This is pretty much the peak current year "game". The guys at Blizzard sure do love their phones because they had to spend quite some time looking through the various mobile casinos for inspiration on how to make on of the most lazy exploitative greedy disrespectful POS imaginable.

Just a very short list of sins: Endless list of lies and false promises, Online only, live service, requires 3rd party account with dox (or OW1 data) to play, "F2P" experience severely limited, don't think to even try if you don't have legacy status, microtransactions up the ass, including Pay to win, woke af to cover up for Blizzard being full of rapists, and very likely the worst of them all is how many amazing games, franchises and genres had to die just so Overwatch could still kill itself in the end. Lawbreakers, Battleborn (you know the one with the full campaign mode?) or the Quake franchise are just some examples of the most high profile victims.

Originally I wanted to write a much longer review but there's no point or need thankfully to waste my time on pointing out the obvious.

TLDR: Wait for Overwatch 1 or preferably Battleborn server emulator.

Welcome to Steam, Blizzard, enjoy your stay, because I sure will, this is just the beginning.

This works because it's a self-aware ♥♥♥♥ game meanwhile AAA tries to sell their jokes as serious games, weapons unironically feel better than many modern AAA games.
