Once in a while a game like this pops off that puts AAA games to shame. I find it truly remarkable what one dev was able to build. Although it's still lacking content, Manor Lords looks very promising, has very polished in-depth city building features, and is well worth the price-tag.

Pros:
- Unique city building/management features;
- Beautiful seasons cycle
- Smooth performance
- Great OST and beautiful graphics
- Super satisfying building mechanics (especially for family plots)

Cons:
- Game-breaking bug at the end of scenarios that doesn't allow you to play in sandbox (currently being fixed);
- Some city management features are not explained in detail and you need to figure them out on your own, which is fine, but makes the first game a bit more difficult;
- Lacking a workforce management screen / UI, so you have to manually check what your families are doing. I think the game would greatly benefit from a workforce management system similar to the one in Medieval Dynasty.
- I really wish the MANOR building and walls were designed to allow other buildings to be integrated on the inside and protected.

As a huge fan of Heroes Of Might And Magic, I was excited for Song of Conquest and have been following its development for many months. Although the HoMM inspiration is strong, Song of Conquest is its own game.

Pros:
- beautiful, high-quality pixel art (I'm not even a fan of pixel art tbh)
- good map design (filled with treasure, creatures, and unique items)
- challenging (I'm still in the first campaign, but the difficulty increase between maps is good imo),
- beautiful music
- feels very polished for an early access
- I like the town-building concept, the limited number of building slots forces the player to choose upgrades wisely. I really hope they will continue to develop this feature.

Cons
- Capped unites (you have a maximum number of units from each type. Maybe this is a good feature, since it forces you to distribute your army between heroes, but I prefer stacking THRONGS of troops :P)
- Some QoL / UI issues (moving troops between heroes feels like a chore).

Disclaimer: will update the review after this weekend, since it's the only time I have to play games :D

I was pleasantly surprised by how fun this game can be. It's not the kind of thing I usually play, but its core gameplay is enjoyable. The artstyle is also very nice! I invited friends over on two occasions and we had a lot of fun each time. The game is easy to fire-up - simply plug in your controllers, go through a short tutorial, and start exploring the islands. It's definitely something I will play again the next time I have someone over, which is not something that I can say about another local CO-OP indie I checked out last week.

This game balances team-play and competitiveness beautifully. One moment you're working together to complete your boat, the other you're trying to sabotage your team to steal their treasure (walking around with a diamond can be very dangerous). Reactions on the couch are also quite hilarious. We used beanboozled candies to "punish" the lowest scoring player.... great incentive! Another rule was that we all had to eat a candy if we lost the level!

Despite the fact that the game is still unpolished, I think it has a lot of potential... and I really hope the dev will continue to update it.

Pros:
- Great party game for kids and adults alike,
- Solid core gameplay, which can be improved, but is still great for an early access game
- The isometric perspective is perfect for this kind of game. I also like the overall aesthetic of the game.
- Very interesting levels, each with its unique obstacle or mechanic (e.g. elevators, boulders, bridges, gliding rope, etc.)
- Semi CO-OP is well balanced
- Scores are hidden until the end of the level.
- Funny achievements

Cons:
- local CO-OP -> this is both a good and bad thing. It's a great game to play together with friends, but getting together can be difficult, and playing the game alone really isn't fun. I would recommend introducing some AI / bots. Online mode may not be that helpful, since the servers would not be that populated.
- If you're friends are douchebags, they can loot the entire level and not help with building a ship. That's all fine and dandy, but I think team-players, or people who contribute most to the building of the ship, should be rewarded in some way.
- BE CAREFUL: If you fail one island in an adventure, you fail the entire adventure and have to start over.

Solid game overall, with a decent price tag. I recommend checking it out.

I really enjoyed Gibbous, despite the fact that I have not played any point and click before. I think this game is a great introduction into the genre. The game has light hearted humor, but this, in no way, diminishes the story. It gets quite serious towards the end! The artwork is spectacular. I loved all of the small details they added, like the shadows or Kitteh's reflection in the water, and the overall aesthetic (reminded me of film noir here and there).

I have to admit that I was JUST A BIT worried about the voice overs, but the main characters are definitely on point. There are some audio mishaps here and there, but nothing to break the immersion. I think it was a great idea to mix Romanian voice actors with native ones. It makes the game feel more authentic.

As far as characters go, Kitteh may have stolen the show for most, but Don was definitely my favorite. Loved his velvety voice and personality. TBH, this game does not feel like an indie. Most indies I played were nice, but somehow felt too short or incomplete. Gibbous has more than enough content, smooth animations, great soundtrack, remarkable characters, and good (but not overly complicated) puzzles. It is clearly a labour of love.

I really enjoyed this game & will probably replay it to better understand the meaning behind the dialogue and story.

Pros:
> Gorgeous graphics.
> Attention to details.
> Romanian symbolism and traditions.
> A fresh take on a the genre.
> Beautiful soundtrack.

Cons:
> I have no idea how I solved some of the puzzles in the game xD, also some puzzles are quite easy.

This game is very unique and challenging. The artwork and atmosphere are superb. I really enjoyed playing it and recommend it. The story is really cool, although I feel like they could have made it more rich. I finished the game in roughly 7 hours on normal difficulty. I plan to play it again on hard.
