Some people like to complain that the hit boxes are broken and don't register properly (specially with melee), but take a moment to think about the following:
I like to think that nothing from this almost 11 year old game is broken. Since there are random crits in the game, perhaps we are just misinterpreting broken hit boxes for critical misses. There is still a slightly different "thud" sound when you critically miss, so who says that's not the original intentions of the game?

The truly sad thing about this game is how they ruined community servers by trying to be like Overwatch's matchmaking system. If a game that has a community like this game did after 8 or 9 years, why mess with that? But the damage has been done and matchmaking is garbage sometimes but it's always fun to find (or craft) a nice hat.
