TLDR: Good presentation, somewhat poor execution and has game breaking bugs (more details below, link to my Bug Thread: Steam Discussions Bugs Thread). If you come from the Warhammer Mechanicus game, expect a much harder and more frustrating experience. There's a good first experience for Veterans of XCOM games, but for us who are not, the first playthrough may be filled with frustration. I also should say that i REALLY WANT TO LIKE THIS GAME, and I do, but for the price it sits at and the MASSIVE problems it has, it's a No for me.

GOOD:
Music - I thought the music was very fitting and well produced.

Visuals - In my opinion, Visuals are fine for this game, even though people complain about a shy colour palette, I thought "It's Warhammer, it's Grim dark, what the heck kind of a colour palette should a Warhammer game have besides grim and dark and dreary?

Voice Acting - Convincing for pretty much all characters, although the Characters themselves could be critiqued for acting a bit like children at times with their squabbling, and the Grandmaster being too stingy with resources and how he seriously he takes the situation the Inquisitor is trying to get him to see.

SOLID:

Story - Like most of these Warhammer games, the story is alright, i feel like they all are kind of same-y, like Mechanicus with Necrons rising or this one with the Plague Virus rising etc. But it's good enough to keep you engaged and interested in it.

UI - Looks nice, looks Warhammer-y, but there is space for critique on how practical it is, as some people have already pointed out.

NOT-SO-SOLID:

GAMEPLAY: which presents itself as challenging but it forces you to play only certain builds which are overpowered and exploit bad AI which still shoots at you even if you are in heavy cover. This basically is the only way to beat the game without pulling your hair out. For Example: Teleportation Heavy Interceptors who can take out whole waves of enemies before enemies blink, and when you do it it feels broken, and it feels broken because it simply is broken. No other way of going about it. Even people who like this game and recommend it say it's broken.

POORLY EXPLAINED GAME MECHANICS: is an another problem for this game, there is a very large amount of people complaining about the fact that when you start playing this game, unless you are a veteran of games such as X-com, that the game is incredibly difficult, frustrating and unfair. I have also experienced this and I wish that part of the game was a bit more merciful towards new players. Mind you, the only way I managed to actually "understand" this game is that I had to google build guides and watch Youtube videos in order to understand what I am doing wrong. In my humble opinion a game shouldn't have to force you to watch Youtube videos and google build guides so that you can complete it on "Normal" difficulty.

THE "LORE" ARGUMENT:

I do believe Developers have indeed overlooked key lore elements in this game, which definitely took me out of the game a few times. There's a load of examples for this argument, and if you are interested in them, have a look at other Negative reviews, but the one that particularly pissed me off is the fact that a Gray Knight, literal embodiment of pragmatic cold death, specialist in melee combat - a damn KNIGHT as the name suggests, sent by Imperium of Man to fight the worst that Chaos can cook up - CANNOT 1 hit kill a stupid plague grunt with a massive power sword.

If this was an agent of the Inquisition, i'd understand perfectly, they could have made a game which lets you play as Inquisition agents, but they made a game with GRAY KNIGHTS. I'm sorry but this combined with the fact that plague infantry who use small arms deal so much damage to GK-s, out range GK-s, have constant buffs with Bloom rising or certain enemies who have buff abilities to no end, it really is a frustrating experience.

BAD

BUGS

And finally, this is no 15-20 $ game, it's way more, and there are still a few game breaking bugs present.
For example:
I have encountered a bug which makes you stuck in battle during enemy turn. Nothing can be done about it, except restart mission and pray to god that it does not happen again.
I have also encountered a bug where your abilities like Shoot, Grenade etc. simply don't work, you can press them all day, nothing happens, you can press number buttons, nothing happens. Many more bugs are present and this is the real reason I am giving this game a Not Recommended. Most of my other reasons critiquing this game are disputable, but this one is absolutely unforgivable, game sitting at this price tag having unpolished gamebreaking bugs has no excuse.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I haven't yet completed the game, it's no secret, but so far, unfortunately, this has been the impression it has left me with. Maybe I simply cannot get behind all the mechanics and numbers, and this sort of game maybe isn't my idea of fun - even though I really want to like this game, it has one of my favourite factions in it and so many appealing elements. My first playthrough was messy, so I will start a new game with my newfound knowledge in hopes of having a better time and changing this review to a Recommended instead of what is currently going to stay as Not Recommended.

EDIT 1: I have in fact started a new playthrough and I am playing on Merciful this time, which is Easy. And first few missions seem easy, especially if you actually googled good builds (which again in this game are THE builds you have to go for if you want to actually complete the game, and the same seems to be true to the research projects you gotta go for like reduced bloom % ones and certain Strategems that are pretty strong and allow you to cheese some missions) but later missions are still rather challenging, which made me happy that i chose Merciful, because I have no clue how the hell would i complete it on what Devs call "Normal" diff. Currently I am facing bugs with my game being stuck at various parts of different levels, so that's hindering my progress of the game right now.

Absolutely my favourite Fallout game, and in my opinion still the best Fallout game out there, but the instability of the game is unforgivable. Shame on Bethesda (and Obsidian) for never doing anything about this game's stability.

Fantastic experience. Really lets you understand the Tech Priests of Mars as you purge the Necron scum.
Music, visuals and everything else is done so well. If you like 40k, you will like this game. It's one of the "good ones" on Steam. I only wish it was longer, but there's plenty of replayability.

Praised be the Machine God.

TLDR: Don't buy. DLC within DLC.

The Fatshark book of Grudges, Chapter 64, Verse 10:

Grail knight Career finally lets us have a small taste of Bretonnia, an unique faction in the Warhammer universe. The land of knights wearing beautiful embroidered tabards and crazy Great helmets- oh and that whole deal about some Lady and some Lake... OH- also a land based on Medieval France but we won't mention that bit... Really, just every man's dream.

You get little quests with little rewards and the class itself is pretty strong from what I gather. The guy can use a cool new Longsword and a cool new Sword and Shield combo, in cool Bretonnian style... I bet you are sitting at the edge of your seat to get stuck right into Bretonnia and have a look at the different weapons and armours it offers. Well, you are in for a disappointment, because FS doesn't let you actually customize your own character. No - instead, you must pay for an additional DLC to have "customization rights" so you can once AGAIN spend your hard earned Shillings on vanity items.

Of course Fatshark does this on purpose because they are ran by greedy bastards. I think the trick is to get you to buy the base class first, then there's going to be people who don't care about the vanity items, weapon skins, outfits etc, and for those people their needs end there, they get the default guy with default sword and default shield etc. For the rest of us who don't have this mindset, there's 2 roads :

- You don't realize that you are not allowed to customize your character until it's too late to refund after which you get properly mad ( Like I did with Warrior Priest)
- You realize FS are ran by a bunch of ♥♥♥**ng goblins and you refund DLC and don't give them more money for being scum. (Like I did now)

This all goes for ALL other Career DLC-s. I'm just leaving a negative review on this one because I hate them most for this one because this one was the most tempting and "unique" in my eyes.

Inb4> read what you are buying pleb.
Piss off, nobody f**king reads anymore, plus they nicely placed the "WE ARE GREEDY BASTARDS" part at the very end of "FEATURES" where they nicely explain how they as a thank you for giving them money - disabled a basic function of the game for the thing that you just gave them money for.

Here's hoping Vermintide III will not be ran by goblins and that we will actually get a full game.

It's fun for a while but if you played one Far Cry, you have played all of them. The weapons you can unlock feel meaningless since you can buy them pretty early on in the game without having to go around freeing up radio towers and so on. At one point more weapons appear in the shop after you come to a certain part of the main story but again, you have plenty of cash at that point and you can just buy them. Maybe some people think this is okay but I personally felt like it's a wasted opportunity to get the player to explore the world and earn these weapons.

At one point you can upgrade your house but that is also purely cosmetic besides the fact that you get that mini helicopter if you buy one upgrade, so it's just a place to pour your money into.

The story is okay-ish but again, nothing special in general, and even less special when you consider the stories of other Far Cry games.

The setting is interesting though, Ubisoft really knows how to find an interesting setting with most of their games, I will just name Far Cry Primal as a fantastic idea for a setting, it's super unique and Far Cry Primal is my favourite Far Cry game, even though people say it's a rehashed, remixed Far Cry 4, frankly a lot of that rehashed, recycled Far Cry 4 gameplay sits so much better with Primal then with FC4 in my opinion.

Ending is a kind of meh too, in my opinion, forcing you to choose between 2 extremes, especially when you can do both things... it's just kind of stupid.

Gunplay is okay, movement is a bit janky and theres a few vehicles that you can choose, but theres one of those mini helicopters everywhere so you will most likely be using those to get around.

I know a lot of people will hate this review because they consider FC4 along with FC3 classics, but there, I personally didn't see the charm in FC4 that people talk about.

The only saving grace is that you can get Far Cry 4 for a really nice price on steam, like i got it for around 5 euro if i remember right, so I can't complain too much.

A WARNING.
Don't buy, cheaters are ruining the game and developers don't give a single sh1t, a damn votekick would improve the game a thousandfold.

It is really fun, but when there is no cheater in the lobby.

Devs would see this game die so you can buy the new piece of crap they made where you can invest more money for them.

Solid game.
Solid gameplay, decent story, level design could have been a bit better, but besides that I found it a fun experience. I seen some other Warhammer games but this one and Vermintide have only struck my interest. I just wish both of them were longer. Still, this one made me excited for the sequel.
