In all seriousness though, whatever Dknighter was cooking before he had more people on his team was a much better game that I could happily go back to periodically. it was a solid mainstay in the games I played back over a year ago. Nowadays, any changes that the game receives just make me wonder what in the absolute ♥♥♥♥ the dev steam is smoking. The new prestige system was only insult to injury, especially since some other reviews have claimed that you can't even attempt Professional difficulty without grinding out hours upon hours of tedious "sit in van/ghost room and wait for any evidence to show up whatsoever" gameplay. The reason why? Starter gear gives you false positives in that difficulty. I understand WHY they made it more difficult (borderline impossible, even) for new players to go straight to the hardest difficulty before they understand the game, but you might as well have just level-gated that difficulty option (for Prestige players at least, as this is already true for people who pick up the game now) or at least clarified in-game when selecting it instead of making me frustrated with not understanding why the game was outright lying to me.

I'm not going to spend over an hour weathering constant hunts just waiting for a ghost to finally give me something to work with after spending the entire setup time just finding out where the hell it is, and I really hope you won't either.
