cope and seethe in the comments

Hi, my name is Christian, and I'm going to be talking to you about the public bathroom problem that we currently have in the United States. And that is that they are due for an upgrade. To start, the privacy you have while using a public bathroom is practically nonexistant. Anyone who has used a stall before can tell you that there's very little privacy, and almost anyone can tell exactly what you are doing while you are in one. Next is the cleanliness of public bathrooms; they have never had the best reputation in this regard, but there are several things that can be done to improve this process as a whole. So, why's this matter to me? Well, 60% of people (including myself) who use public bathrooms between 1 to 5 times per week would certainly not mind seeing some type of improvements done whatsoever. In additon to that, 7 out of 10 people claim that they would rather "hold it in" than go use a public bathroom. Which this brings up a few red flags that something is due for an actual change, and something needs to be done. So, this is a problem that affects everyone. Anyone can have, and has most likely had, a pretty crappy or poor experience while using a public bathroom. However, this will probably take a greater toll on people who use the female bathroom, as they very often use stalls significantly more than men do when using a public bathroom. In addition to that, they at most will wait 34 times longer than men just to get into a bathroom. Which is a little ridiculous, but still something. Currently, there are no suitable alternatives for using a public bathroom other than maybe going home or acting like a primate and going outside and taking care of your business that way. But if you need to use a public bathroom, very often you are going to be stuck using exactly that, which is a public bathroom. So, why not make this experience a more pleasurable one? Well, I found a quote here that represents this pretty well it was in a few famous movies, 8 Mile, Super Troopers, et cetera, and it's, "If you gotta go, you gotta go". So, my solutions are simple. First, we get rid of the gaps as seen in the first image. The gaps bring no real benefit to anyone at all, and the only real defense that I've seen for having these gaps in place is that it makes it easier to tell if someone's in the stall. However, this can simply--and very simply--be replaced by what they have on airplanes or what they have on trains, and that is simply a message that shows that it is occupied or vacant, a greed/red symbol of some kind to identify if someone is actually in that stall or if someone is not in that stall. The second would be to implement automatic air fresheners. I think this should be in place everywhere. Public bathrooms should not smell as bad as they do, and this is easily one of the solutions for that. And last would be automatic toilet film covers, which rotate on a clean piece after every single use. I've seen this already in place in Chicago, but it is not in as many places as it should be. So, the solutions have been adopted by a handful of other countries outside of the United States. Actually, a lot of other countries do exactly this already, so I would just like to know why the United States has not picked this up yet and not adopted this as the norm, as it would benefit so many people. Thank you.
