This game is Dwarf Fortress for children, which is a good thing! It has enough depth and the visuals are better than ASCII. I spent a bit of time on this one and I've enjoyed it all.

Great game, I guess I'm considered a casual but I do enjoy the challenging aspect. I have noticed some people not agreeing with the recent update and I can see why. New updates equals new hotfixes which can be annoying and alpha 12 is brutal with the new dog hordes and such. I for one enjoy the feeling of combating the desperation and even though it's not appealing to some, challenges are wonderful and this game is full of one. One thing I would like to note is as much as people ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan about the devs they seem to know what they want from their game, and I do appreciate that they're still here with us. The whole pre-order overload was a bit nuts and the fact that these updates are still flowing shows to me they aren't just cash grabbing. I've enjoyed the experience and will gladly stick around to see where it goes. Let there be development!
