This was a pretty bland entry in the series, mostly consisting of goofy minigames where you are just making food, playing carnival games and doing makeup.

The horror aspect is incredibly toned down, jumpscares await you if you fail a level which are among the blandest and least surprising in the series. You always know exactly when you will get jumpscared.
The only worthwhile minigames are sections copied wholesale from Sister Location. These are horrifying but only because they were lifted directly from a better game.

The difficulty is laughable and most of the games aren't worthwhile as they barely ramp up difficulty and have no replay value.
The only good things i have to say is the game only being 7-8GB in size, well optimized and it's generally nice to look at, and i encountered few bugs playing on a Valve Index.

You can get to most of the games content in little more than 3 hours, unless you want to do asinine secret hunting, which is why i could refund this game.

It's not worth 40€, and you are better off just watching this one being played by your favorite youtuber.

Quite honestly, an absolutely astounding Half-Like, that impresses with its unique style, variety of Enemies and weapons (especially those that got added in the update), story, environments and so, so many subtle little things that just make the experience so incredibly enjoyable even on return trips through the hallways youve been in a past save. Replaying this game was a blast (quite literally once the game aquainted me to the grenade launcher) and i could not be any more excited for its sequel.

more of a demo rather than a full game
a little bit of swinging around, the graphics arent amazing, it didnt really adjust to my height so whenever i looked down it looked like i was crouching, and the IK rigs were pretty weird on the arms and hands
play it for the hour or less it takes you to complete, since its free id highly recommend it for a fun experience of net-swingin

Personal thoughts

This game... was an adventure. I don't know why Steam has recommended me this game, but I'm glad it did.
I now played through this game twice, at first normal, and then with the developers commentary. At times I was touched, some others I was amused, and now and then I was slightly spooked even.
I honestly think that the developer put a lot of heart into this, and in the end made a very great game.
And I hope, that the developer is at a good place. If you're reading this, you did an amazing job. Keep working hard, I would love to see more of your stuff in the future.

About the game (spoilers ahead)

The game, to me is about not just the dreams, but the experience and the life of the developer. It's not autobographical in any way, but rather it conveys feelings that the developer has. It's interesting to journey through, and you will sometimes have your patience tested.
If you're looking for a high octane, action filled game, I do not recommend this to you. But if you are interested in a personal view of things, filled with some bizarre imagery... You'd be surprised how this game delivers.

I honestly like this game a lot. Chnaces are that it will sit in my steam library for half a year or so before I touch it again... But it brought me a lot of joy and gave me much more to think about for the time being.

Thank you, developer for sharing such personal experiences with us in the for of a great game.
And thank you for taking your time to read. If you did.

*rubs hands*
This game my friends
is not what it says on the tin.

It's a virtual experience, relaxing, soothing.

Do I recommend this game?
If you've got some bucks and an hour or two to slay, totally! Don't buy it to slander it. It's like a good massage, sure, some points can be uncomfortable, like some graphical glitches, missing vegetation if you stray from the path, and the narrators accent (the narrative consists mostly of poetry), which is thick as oil, but this can also be very soothing. But you'll see the world through a different lense afterwards, maybe it even motivates you to go out and look at the world around you. Sit back and let it have it's effect on you.

The best thing about this game?
The soundtrack, which is included in the game as a free download and available in your steam library and on your computer. The original artist did a very good job with that. It adds up to the whole experience.

Story?
As previously mentioned, the narrators accent is thick. Indian, if I'd have to take a guess. The basic premise is, you walk along a path to the top of the peak of the mountain of fire, traversing beaches, bushes, cliffs, snow and just nature in general.
From what I scraped together from the narrative, it seems to me that the main character found a girlfriend, broke her heart, she turned out to be a witch who cursed him to have to go up the drizzlepath every four years(?) I think, maybe. And as soon as he arrives on the peak, its a new beginning for him.
(Just wanted to leave my understanding of it here in case someone might have been in the unclear about it). Also, no magic in the actual game, it's "only" walking and enjoying the view and nature.

Again, don't see this as a game, look at it as a unique experience.
