Haven't had a good RTS in-awhile, so this was a good breathe of fresh air.
Who doesn't love a good 2020s 4x RTS Game based on the Dune Universe?

The art style is cartoony yet detailed and beautiful, the UI is pretty minimalist but shows everything you need, also having this 4x game with real-time mechanics is pretty awesome. Game kinda gets harder as you go, especially if you don't have the required resources and have to rely on Spice which increasingly gets harder to produce as the Emperor's Tax goes higher & higher, oh and the penalties from the Council if you get voted with negative bills.

So far only minor stutters during mid-game, I haven't especially seen or had any bugs during my one Atreides campaign so that's a plus. This game definitely doesn't disappoint and is probably one of the best releases to come out as a EA title.

BCoF plays like M&B NW or Holdfast with an American Civil War setting, the melee combat is great and is much like M&B NW, however tad bit slower due to animations having weight to them. The game offers a map editor, loads of content, a number of classes like Musicians, Sappers, Medics or Artillerymen, in addition eight game modes for players to enjoy and mod support on release!

Unlike War of Rights which is a good ACW game but definitely is more grounded with Realism/Simulation game play, this game allows for more freedom on what and how you want to play the game, so if you didn't like WoR or maybe even Holdfast, BCoF might be the ACW/Black Powder game for you!

There are a few bugs and optimization can be a little spotty on higher graphic effects. I run the game on High with shadow render on low and can run 60 fps smooth with little fps dips (sometimes down to 40, depending on the scenery + amount of stuff going on), and the UI could use a better design and can clutter the screen for some (Fortunately, you can change UI settings in game)... But that is of course bound to change as more updates come through.

EDIT: For better clarification on my specs. I5-9400F, 24 GB RAM, RTX 2060.

It's a good game, just a little disappointed that I never really got into the plot and the twist and the suspense never really got me. I still recommend this one though.

Would be probably the best Halo game since Halo 3, but the XP gain and customization is ass.

While the gameplay and story is all there. Combat is decent... but

The world still feels empty. AI feel souless and wander aimlessely until they despawn/disappear, sometimes they won't even fully spawn in the streets (cars too!), unless you stay idle for a while.

God, even driving AI is so stupid, it throws you off the immersion, that it feels like you're just in a simulation.

Quite a unique RPG Political Sim game.
Story rich, full of interesting characters and events that influence your presidential terms!

Though may not be for everyone as it includes a lot of reading and is naturally, a heavy text-based game.

To summarize, it is a more streamlined but well thought out CK2 which allows for more fluidity and less clunky controls and peformance, they really did something great with the peformance in CK3, I had 60+ on the highest speed!

I have been having a blast playing Ironman Bavaria, playing with friends is even more chaotic and fun.

Being a 6 year vet of CK2, I'd say almost all of the features you had in CK2 is in CK3 and does it better. I can say that I fully recommend this title, if you enjoyed CK2 and understand it fully. (You all know what I mean... I think one of my dukes were married of to a deer... Though that may be just a case of sleep deprivation irl LOL)
